review and to have this matter move expeditiously to a reasonable conclusion.It is not our intent to challenge the validity of the unfinished workSeasons Home Improvements was contracted to install a roofThis service typically can cost approximately $9000.00; however, the agreed upon final cost of $was due in part to a 15+ year business relationship with this customer, of which Seasons Home Improvements has repaired or replaced over roofs of the customers private residence and other properties owned by the family, without any complaints, grievances, or disputes over cost, quality of workmanship, or professionalismAlso during this business relationship, we have never received complaints about our reliability or our communication.Our longstanding client initially brought her concerns to our attention and there have been subsequent follow up communication to address the concernsFirst, there were phone calls followed by an onsite inspectionSeveral areas were not caulked and there were some nail holes that needed to be cleaned up.The scope of the remaining work to be done would take less than an hour to complete and the balance of unfinished work is less than two hundred dollars.Attempts to resolve these issues were offered; however, the customer declined to have anyone of the Seasons Home Improvement employees onsiteThe only reason given was the customer wanted the ownerWe regret that mutual scheduling conflicts prevented that from happening when the customer desiredSeasons Home ImprovementBut, the flashing was completed and the gutters were properly installedAfter a review and a conversation, it was discovered that an outside contractor, not affiliated with Seasons Home Improvements had done work on the roofAfter a review of the circumstances, we determined these issues were not due to the negligence of Seasons Home Improvements and the guaranteed warranty was violated and thus not responsible for these two particular complaintsHowever, the offer was made to repair the damage as a separate invoiced serviceThere was no dispute with the proposal.When last communicated, the customer insisted that only Jim F*, owner of Seasons Home Improvements onsite to complete the unfinished work would resolve the conflictOver a period of several weeks, the customer began sending text messages that were insulting, inappropriate, and threateningThey include racial epithets, insults, and threats(examples of texts messages available upon request)The root of this dispute, based on these text messages and voice communication, the customer's intent is something beyond the business relationship Seasons Home Improvements and the customer have mutually benefitted from for over a decadeMrF* does not, nor has he ever had any intentions to extend that relationship beyond business and no longer feels safe doing soHe is widowed with a young son and the customer had always been welcome on Seasons Home Improvement property; however, he is not comfortable doing business under these circumstances with this customer.That is all the information we have to provide at this timeWe look forward to your guidance following further review of this.Thank you in advance for your consideration.Sincerely,James MF* Owner, Seasons Home Improvements ***Seasons Home Improvement
