4 Star Auto Glass

Hi *** Thank you for taking the time today regarding my complaint.As I told you, we take pictures of all previous damage before we begin work on the vehicle. I have attached the pictures that you requested. These pictures show scratches on the outside of the door and the damage to the door glass inside panel. If you look closely, you can see the broken glass still on the upper right side of the window sill when looking at the door panel damage. As you can imagine, many of the vehicles we work on have previous damage and the only way we can prove it to the customers is by showing them pictures. I hope these pictures are enough proof to clarify this discrepancy. Thanks,Jeff M***, Star Auto Glass

On 5/**/16, [redacted] had his door glass replaced. Prior to any work being done on each vehicle, a 4 Star technician takes pictures of all prior damage to the vehicle. We took several pictures of [redacted] vehicle including his door panel (that show the existing broken glass). After [redacted]...

picked up his vehicle, he claimed we damaged his door panel. We checked out the photos and saw that the technician had documented the pre-existing damage. We showed the picture to [redacted] who claimed that we took the picture after we caused the damage. We refused to fix the door panel as the damage was done prior to him coming to our shop. Recently he sent us pictures that he took of the door prior to coming to our shop. You could see the blemish on his pictures also. We sent him our picture and told him our analysis of the situation. He refuses to listen and is taking us to small claims court and is now trying to smear our name with your organization. We are a high quality service shop for businesses and consumers. We service approximately 15,000 to 20,000 vehicles each year and don't have any previous complaints how we treat our customers. We offer a life time warranty on our workmanship.

[Your Answer Here] These two pictures are further evidence that the work was commenced and the pictures were taken after the job started. These 2 pictures do not show in my view of them  any broken glass still there it appears to be none at all to me. The outside door is not the issue. The issue is that the inner door panel was dinged and damaged. I took pictures before the vehicle was given to this company for insurance pu r poses  and they show broken glass  around the frame and no ding mark on the panel. Also the picture  picture they took of the inside area shows that the glass was already installed and there are reflections in the glass. I  am prepared to swear under oath in front of a judge that the panel was not damaged before I gave the vehicle to their worker showing the dates I took my pictures and times they were taken. I also am requesting that they produce at the court their workman who did the damage and his training record. This company refuses to pay me for the repair since they assume that people will not hold them accountable in front of a judge.  I hold a position of integrity in society and I will let the judge hear my side and see my evidence presented by my attorney and let the judge decide.

[Your Answer Here] as far as this worker I will question him  in court about his pictures accuaracy and his training record. I saw their picture that he took and the mark was there on the panel. The broken glass had been visibly removed in his picture all around the frame and into the door panel when they took the panel off to install the new glass. It is beyond doubt that he took the picture after the work was done because you can see that the glass is installed with reflections in it and I have a blown up picture of the broken glass around the frame with no ding in the section of the door panel that they damaged. Instead of resolving the issue after being shown 100% proof in that picture that the damage was not there prior to the repair this company has forced me to take this issue to another level and cost me additional expenses. I will produce any evidence that the Revdex.com needs in my pictures, the time they were taken, blown up sections etc....to show that this company damaged my vehicle during a repair.  I also have complained to [redacted] for referring me to them and I will at a later date show [redacted] that this company failed to repair my damage amd was responsible beyond any dobut that they did the damage.  It is unbelievable that I have had to go through this ordeal with this company for a glass repair.
