The Tenant moved out suddenly without notice and the electric and gas was her responsibility until the end of the month.We told her that we would take possesion and that the gas and electric should not be shut off but she should call and tell them she moved so they would switch it out of her name
The bldg is set up on the Landlord program and the utilities will automatically switch into the owners name once a Tenant lets them know they have movedThis allows the billing to cease for them and subsequently begin for usThe Tenant only needed to communicate with the utility companies to address this issue.The Tenant did not bring us a copy of the bill until it was already delinquentWe stopped managing the property so she was referred to the new management company since we no longer have access to the billing for that owner
