422 Home Sales Reviews (3)

We purchsed our home from them in 2008. We have had nothing but issues with it. Doors have fallen off, carpet wasn't installed proper, cupboards are crap, and the workers drilled holes in my roof and hid them under shingles so it took awhile to start leaking. I know have 3 HUGE holes in my ceiling due to roof leaks. They asked me to send them pictures and they never responded to it. They just get upset because you leave a bad review and they act like they will help you in hopes that you'll remove the review but they never will.

Review: I purchased a modular home from 422 home sales in October 2013. My children

and I moved in, in May 2014. Prior to moving in and since that time we have

been repeatedly in contact with Rod at the [redacted] office of 422 Home

Sales about issues with the setting and finishing of the house. Initially

the crews they sent said there were no issues other than cosmetic issues.

This is not the case. I have continued to ask for them to send qualified

contractors to fix the issues. They have put me off many times, promising

they had sent a work order with noone contacting me for months. When they

have sent someone, they send 1 or 2 men teams without the approval to fix

more than 1 or 2 little issues. The front porch is sagging and it appears

to be because the post which is one of the main supports, was not set below

the frost line, the shingles on the roof are loose, broken, and installed

improperly, the corner of the roof where the porch and house meet is

sagging and appears to have no support under it. There are numerous areas

where the siding waves and bows and one of their crews learned in another

area of the house with the same iasue, this was due to issues under the

siding from prior to my buying the house. I am told by 422 that there was a

1 year warranty on basically cosmetic issues and a 10 year warranty on

structural issues. These are structural issues and safety issues plus

cosmetic ( that they waited until the initial warranty had expired to

answer me) they do not seem to want to communicate or send qualified

contractors to fix the issues that should be under warranty. Also there is

a GFI outlet on the front porch, I had issues with it and one of their men

came, removed the GFI buttons causing a safety and fire issue and they have

yet to send someone to repair this issue which is a code and safety issue.

I would appreciate any help you can give me in getting 422 home sales to

resolve the issues with my home before I lose it due to structural issues.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate any help you can give me in getting 422 home sales to resolve the issues with my home before I lose it due to structural issues.

CASE NUMBER [redacted] ATTN [redacted] I am writing In response to the letter I received concerning customer [redacted]. Concerning the front porch sagging. I have pictures attached to the complaint that the footer for the porch was not deep enough. 422 home sales did not install this footer. I was not aware of the shingles but this will be addressed by 422 home sales. The siding that is wavy was turned into the manufacturer [redacted] homes which are what they installed. [redacted] homes has declined to repair this item due to the home was a display home and was purchased with a lot model discount. 422 home sales will address this item. The GF1 outlet on the home that was replaced is already out for service to the electrician who did the work. This will be corrected. As far as contractors sent by 422 home sales. When they contact with an issue and have what is needed there to repair it, they are given authorization to complete the item within reason. If the item is not a 422 responsibility it must be forwarded to the proper channel. 1 am currently attempting to set up a meeting with Rhonda tack, her contractor and [redacted], who is a service sub contractor for 422 home sales as well as myself to see the items. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at ###-###-#### THANK YOU, ROD F[redacted] OPERATIONS MANAGER 422 HOMES ###-###-####

Response:

I am rejecting Mr.[redacted]'s response to my complaint. A meeting with the contractor was made after my complaint was filed. I have tried contacting 422 homes for almost a year with no response, and contact was finally made after my lawyer had contacted Mr. [redacted]. The contractor had showed up on Wednesday April 1st to fix a couple of minor things in our home, but I have yet to hear from himsince. I have still not heard from Mr. [redacted] himself, I only ever have had conversations with the contractor. Major issues are still not resolved after a year of being in our home. Regards,

The listwith the second letter (see list 2)is a different list than what came with the first letter (Seclist I). We have attempted to satisfy this customer above and beyond normal serviceprocedures. This was a display model home where they received a $50,000.00 discountfor accepting the display home. (Please see ex1). We are addressing items on the secondlist that we are able to address. (See ex 2 and ex3 for contract to repair two windows.)The home did not come with bathroom and kitchen shelves. We contact [redacted] homesto ensure that the home would not get these shelves. The floor in the entryway was thisway when they purchased the home which is covered under the lot model discount of$50000.00. We have contacted a contractor [redacted] to address the front door andside doors. New generations addressed the electric issues the customer had with thehome.
