Business Response /* (1001, 12, 2014/07/03) */
This is in response to the recent complaint against 435 Digital by Chicago Entertainment LLC.
On November 11/01.2013, [redacted] opted in to a 12 month contract with 435 Digital. The agreement was for 435 Digital to perform...
search engine optimization (SEO) for the company's web site.
Attached is a timeline of events based on the e-mail communication between [redacted] of Chicago Entertainment LLC and 435 Digital. This shows very clearly that we did everything that we could to communicate with Mr.[redacted] and that his allegations are without merit . Despite being repeatedly contacted by [redacted] from 435 Digital, Mr. [redacted] never implemented any of the suggested SEO changes to his website, he never authorized us to implement those changes; he never granted proper credentials needed to work on his web site; and, he built a new site in parallax format contrary to our team's instructions, that would harm our seo efforts to his web site.
Here are the key elements to the unsuccessful relationship between Chicago Entertainment and 435 Digital:
- December 16th 2013 - [redacted] provided incorrect login credentials
- December 16th 2013 - [redacted] received an email from [redacted] letting him know that the new site was up and running. When he went to the site he immediately learned the site was built in a Parallax format which is bad for SEO. [redacted] sent[redacted] the site login but mentioned that any changes needed to be run by him first before he did anything on the site.
- January 6th 2014 - [redacted] e-mailed[redacted] detailing some issues on their end that needed resolved and also requested accurate login info
- January 10th 2014 - email to[redacted] requesting Google analytics access
- January 13th -[redacted] Blake e-mailed[redacted] with another request for login credentials.
- February 4th -[redacted] e-mailed[redacted] at 435 alleging that google analytics access was granted and requested a plan by 435 for the year 2014. Stating nothing has been done.
- February 4th - E-mail from[redacted] stating that[redacted] never implemented the changes on the client end
- February 12th - e-mail from Shaina to[redacted] stating that the client still hadn't implemented the changes suggested. Also states that login credentials were never granted.
- February 12th - e-mail from[redacted] confirming the login access was never granted
Without proper access, we were unable to do our job. Furthermore, at[redacted]'s request, we were asked to send what needed to be done to him and his web designer and nothing was ever implemented.
On 3/24/2014 [redacted] asked to cancel his service with a full refund. I informed him that even though he is in a contract that I would approve letting him out, but that a refund would not be applied.
On 3/28/2014[redacted] informed me that he was charged another month. I told him that I had cancelled his contract and that if he was charged incorrectly that the charges would be reversed immediately. After checking with billing, we had only charged him for the months in which services were rendered, and that his contract was indeed cancelled.
Thank you

No work was ever done. If you needed info/access to do the work, perhaps make a point of saying so. And don't charge people for work you're not doing.
