Obviously since I want a refund and there was no physical altercation or verbal altercation - I paid my tab and left without incident. There was no disrespect. I paid, I tipped, and I complained online. That's it.
The owner wasnt there and even if he was saw no disrespect. if he says otherwise. He's a liar! The waitress knew exactly what my complaint was and she knew something was floating in my friends drink because I told before I order another drink AFTER I said I didn't want the long island. I got a watermelon martini and it was great. no complaints. There was no disrespect to any of the wait staff. Our original waitress was nice and the owner would have known that had the owner checked with her instead of just writing a blanket response and accepting whatever his manager said. It was the manager that came over with an attitude and I still want a refund. I don't care what he thinks is 'best'. I will continue to write bad reviews as often as possible until this issue is resolved. The bad reviews werent just on Facebook , they were on yelp, Google, and a few others. Just an FYI.
Also, I dont care if the manager on duty worked there 9 years or 9 days. My experience was bad and by the looks of the other bad reviews online, other people have had bad experiences there that were never resolved.... maybe not with her but with their policies in general. If there is something floating in your drink, so what, pay for it. If you dont like your water-downed pre-made drink, so what, pay for it. Even if you order and pay for something in addition to your messed up drink. Its a bad way to run a business.
I know my $11 wasn't going to "make" or "break" 45th street cause it didn't even "make" or "break" me. Its all principal.
have lived on 48th for almost 10 and my husband and I used to frequent 45th. If the manager looks through credit card receipts he can easily check [redacted] and [redacted] and see that we've come there 4-5  a month for years. If this is how he wants to treat regular and return customers.... fine. Ok by me. I'll never come back but I still want a refund. Point blank. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars there, had birthday parties there and everything and i'm not going to be treated bad by his manager and told to "go my own separate way" without putting up a fight.

Review: Worse experience ever. Manager on duty today ... Looks like she's 50 but might be 40. Brown hair with glasses... Argumentative and rude. I had two drinks. The first of which I didn't drink. It was a premixed Long Island that was at the bottom of the container. I tried one sip didn't like it. There were things floating in it and I asked for it to be off my bill and ordered another drink and drank it. A watermelon martini. It was delicious. She wouldn't take the gross drink off my bill and cut me off while I was speaking. I stopped talking to her and started to my friends about the poor reviews I would leave and she threatened to have me and friends arrested for leaving a bad review saying she had our seat numbers written down and our faces on camera. [redacted]! I guess she assumed all blacks were criminals and the threat of police would scare me but since I wasn't breaking the law and only complained about my drink and service ... I was unbothered. She went and asked the owner to throw us out but we weren't doing anything wrong so he never got out of his seat or said anything to us. My friends finished their drinks and we left without incident and I will never return.Desired Settlement: I paid cash for a $12 long iced tea that was disgusting. I also paid for and drank a delicious watermelon martini I don't want a refund for that. I want a refund for the Long Island and an apology from the manage on duty

To Whom It May Concern:

First of all, we at 45th Street Pub take customer opinions and complaints regarding our establishment extremely seriously. However, in this instance these patrons were rude and disrespectful to our manager throughout most of their visit to our location. We believe this disrespect is evident in their comments regarding our manager;s age and appearance in their complaint. Furthermore, our Long island Iced Tea is not "pre-made” per say, but rather made . in batches due to the high volume of Long Island Iced Tea's that we sell, specifically on Thursday Nights (crab night) which is when these particular guests were visiting. The batch of Long island Iced Tea is made no differently than if we were to make an individual drink and the large batch is displayed clearly in all of our patron's view. Long Island Iced Tea is one of if not our top selling beverages, which is the reason why our manager would not remove it from the check. We cannot sell alcoholic beverages on a trial basis. If this or any customer simply doesn’t like the drink, we would suggest they order something else since a policy of just "taking it off the check” could be detrimental to our business of course unless something was wrong it it. The customer in this case makes various claims towards the same drink; 1) it was pre-made, 2) it was the last bottom of the container and 3) there was something floating in it. Our manager on duty was never made aware that there was anything floating in their drink, had she been made aware of that the outcome may have possible been different. We received this complaint via the Revdex.com as well as an email through our website but before we could respond the customer had already posted negative comments on Facebook suggesting how bad our restaurant is and how they would never return. At this point it is probably best that we go our separate ways and we do not see any merit in offering a refund based on the actions of the customer up to this point. Lastly, the manager, who they very rudely commented about, has been an employee

for nearly 9 years and we’ve never received such a complaint about her. I may be reached at [redacted] should any further information be needed.
