I am rejecting this response because:
I must not of been clear in my last comments, if you look at all the winners in every category not just the overall winner you will see a clear trend of the same teams always winning in one form or anotherLook at how many times these following teams have won in some category over the last years. *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** and *** *** ***.If any of the teams above didn't win anything it is because they didn't compete that year for what ever reasonI have done commercials and video projects for a licensed private investigator and he owes me a favor and has said if he gets the names of the judges he can see if there is any connection between them and the winners very easily and I would love to see if there is any connections you are unaware of, I still strongly believe that if your not part of the Las Vegas film click you don't stand a chance of even getting any notice at your event. Also I did email you several times first to handle this matter and of course did not receive any replyI also complained about the horrible venue this year, as it was held in a dirt lot behind a dive bar in the worst part of vegas and you had to walkthrough a dirty alley way that smelt of dog feces and a locked up guard dog that barked throughout the screening, the screen was on an old broke down semi trailer and projected from a cheap consumer projector that made the films darker then they were supposed to be and the seats for the event were old school desks and empty telephone wire spindles for tables. Second: The bar was owned by the Producer of the event and found this very self serving as he made a lot of extra money from hosting the event at his business and pocketing all the money, the screenings were on Tuesday and Wednesday and I am sure all the money he made from drinks were an extra bonus that he would not of gotten on an average Tuesday or Wednesday nightIt was just a horrible event this year and no Purple Carpet no photo back drops, the viewing was out doors and it was about degrees out and the seats were either plastic or vinyl and super hot, we ended up leaving early as it was horrendous. Hour Film Project was not judged fairly and that judges "played favorites and let their friends win" further stating that this has happened over several years--claiming that the same team won again.In speaking with our City Producer, Derek S***, I have been assured that our instructions were followed to the "T" and that the judging was fair and impartial.Furthermore:We have had a different City Producer in Las Vegas in each of the past three years (impossible to play favorites when it is a new person each year)The judges change every year (though one of the three judges has judged in the past (impossible to play favorites when the judges change each yeaer)There has been a different winner in each of the past four years (though there have been repeat teams in the Top 3)The judges' decisions have been borne out by the Audience Award voting (unrelated to the judges, the audience is asked to vote at the screenings and over the past four years has consistently agreed with the judges).In conclusion, the 48HFP has been in operation since 2001. We take all of our processes, especially judging, very seriously. We are sorry that *** *** did not have a pleasant experience at the Las Vegas 48HFP. We are happy to offer him a 50% discount if he wishes to participate in the future.
