Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We already refunded the client's payment in full. The file that he sent was not properly formatted for printing. We explained the issues to the client both via email and on the phone, and gave him a few options: (a) send us a corrected file for no additional charge, (b) have us try to fix his...
original file (not recommended, and it would be an additional cost) or have us cancel the order and give him a full refund. Since we refunded the money, I'm not sure why he got the Revdex.com involved. Here is what we sent to him in an email: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica} p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px} Hello [redacted], We are going to give you a full refund on this order. Reason for refund:The file that you submitted is not in the proper format. Unfortunately, because all of the pages are scans, there is nothing we can do to get them into the correct format for printing. We’re sorry that the order didn’t work out. Whoever ends up printing your books, they will need properly formatted pages. We’ve included a few notes below to point you toward some of the elements that would need to be corrected: 1) Your pages are various different sizes. (Resizing them to all be 5.5 x 8.5 can be done, but it is a slow process, and we would have to charge for the extra work.) 2) There are generic headers that should be removed. (Again, because the pages are all scanned, it would be time-consuming to do, and we would have to charge for the extra work.) 3) Most of your text pages are roughly 8.5 x 11, so if they were reduced to 5.5 x 8.5, the type size would be around 7 pt., much too small for an acceptable book. 4) We don’t believe you would be happy with the photos when they are produced in black-and-white. I would recommend asking to have a couple of your photos printed as a sample so you can see how they’ll look. The refund has already been submitted. If you any questions on this matter, please contact me personally.[redacted], President48 Hr Books
