back a few weeks ago both 495jeep and I agreed on $refundAlthough I was apprehensive and disappointed I still agreed. During my conversation with 495jeep I was promised by the service manager I would receive a check in a couple days. Guess what, I'm sure you know why I'm writing againI have not received my check and he once again is not returning my callsIf you could again help me contact 495jeep it would be much appreciated. *** ***
customer has a ram pickup that has a turbo diesel enginethe cost for an oil change on a turbo diesel(with recommended synthetic oil) is significantly higher than a regular diesel engine and much higher than any gas engine vehicle. in an effort to help our customer with these
costs we offered to sell him a vehicle maintenance plan directly from Chrysler, in which the customer gets oil changes included in the plan for the price of $thus essentially lowering the total cost the customer would pay for these turbo diesel oil changes during that period. the customer agreed to purchase this oil change plan for the amount of $which is our dealerships cost on the plan from Chrysler, we sold this plan to the customer at cost only as a convenience for the customer. if Mr*** contacted other dealerships inquiring about the plan costs then he needs to make sure that they quoted him prices based on the fact that his vehicle is a turbo diesel with synthetic oil, also me must make sure he is comparing the same # of oil changes over the same 5yr period as Chrysler offers many different plans termseither way, the plan that we sold to Mr ***, was for 5yrs and included oil changes total with synthetic oil on a turbo diesel engine, and was sold to him at our cost directly from Chrysler. if the customer no longer wishes to keep this plan he may requested a cancellation(in writing) and he can get a prorated refund directly from Chrysler

the fact is that I called 3 other Ram dealerships and every one of them said the same thing, that new service contracts can be used within 5 minutes of purchase and there is no "required 48 hour waiting period." This alone is the reason for my displeasure and complaint and you continue to try and disregard it. I will call Chrysler myself and the attorney generals office to verify the usage of the service contract and will proceed from there as it is very apparent you are not interested in making this right.

the customer was not actually charged $174.70 for the oil change(on our computer system-discounts print in the total section of the repair order). this is a breakdown backing into the cost of the oil change. the total repair order was $862.32 less $625.00(for the turbo diesel synthetic 8oil change plan) less $19.95( for tire rotation) less $51.25( for diesel def fluid per customer request) less $13.03(mass state sales tax) less $2.99(shop supply/epa fee) =$150.10 for the oil change after the discounts are applied. we feel we charge a fair price for this repair and have no control over what other dealers say the would charge. our service manager did offer him a 8 oil change maintenance plan which he purchased for $625.00 divided by 8 oil changes which works out to be $78.13 per oil change essentially. our service manage also clearly informed the customer that the purchase of the maint plan could not be used for that days work .

What is most interesting about your response is the fact that you never once addressed the 2 major issues. 1. That your service manager blatantly lied to me about the time period in which the new service contract could be used and 2. How he over-charged me for an oil change that other Ram dealerships charge only $119.00 for. You chose to only address the slight over-charging of the service contract, knowing I will not go through the effort of canceling and repurchasing it because I already stated in my complaint that I will simply use it at another dealership.
