I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWe don't expect this matter to be resolved, because we know 4G will not do the right thingThey know we have no legal recourseThe property owners are lawyers They know we arrant going to drive hours to file a small claims suit! We don't care about the money anyway We just want others to be aware of 4G's seedy tactics Their response is dishonest. There was no garbage in the lake and I personally emptied all of the garbage cans in the house before I left The house was not trashedAs to their statement about "no legal department " look on the website for yourselfIt says "Mike B., Legal Dept." and then see who you believe. We made no mention about unsanitary conditions in our original review, but when 4G responded to our security deposit request with lies and petty deductions like for bouncy balls and for a missing face towel, we decided to include all of our issues I think anyone would agree that brown water coming out of the shower and sewage coming up from the drain is unsanitary If you really want to investigate this matter, speak to the PRIOR property manager, William M***.com ###-###-####He will confirm that this is not the first time this has happenedHe is the only reason they had good reviews in the first place! You are also welcome to speak to the other people who rented out this property and assisted in the complaint to verify our position.

Initially, this traveler complained that we did not provide enough paper
towels to suit her needs. Now, six weeks later...the complaint has expanded to the property being "unsanitary". This is a ludicrous accusation, and only an attempt to get some money back.  Our representatives were on hand...

to walk these
travelers through the property room by room. There was nothing "unsanitary" when they moved in. On the other hand,when the travelers left, the property was trashed. Furniture and garbage were in the lake, every room had piled garbage, items were missing, water based paint (not watercolors) was on furniture
and floors, and the largest volume of one week's garbage ever left behind by any traveler over the past four seasons. The purpose of a security deposit is to cover the property owner for damages. We do not charge for normal wear and tear, but excessive abuses abounded in this case and we charged back a portion to the traveler even though we were entitled to keep the entire $300 deposit.  A copy of our invoice is attached.  Also attached is a prior review by this traveler immediately after check-out, and before damages were assessed. Note that no mention is made about "unsanitary" conditions. The communications issues are not factual. The property manager spoke to
the traveler at length two weeks before occupancy. He went so far as to give the Thruway exit number and physical directions to the property. All questions were answered at that time, in addition to numerous e-mails
previously sent between parties. Everything a traveler needs to know is posted and completely accessible on the VRBO website. Additionally, we have no "legal deportment", and have not changed managers.  Most of  the complaint is a complete fabrication. As stated above, we will not refund. We have been generous in the allowances we made and will not be bullied or coerced through bad
reviews.  This type of complaint may
carry some  weight at the big "box-mart"
stores, but not here. As to discrediting the property, this is a wonderful retreat, delivered as promised, and
wholly unappreciated by people like this. We have had excellent success renting this property. Our guests have been absolutely the best, until this
one. We are happy to say that subsequent travelers have been a joy, and that our
season, service, and attitude will not be impacted by this one internet crank. 4g Rental Dept.
