Review: We were looking for a refinance on a piece of property. We were all the way through the process and ready to close when the lender informed us that the rate was now 4.5% even though we have received multiple emails from them stating that we were locked into a 4.125 rate. The lender gave us the run around claiming that this was for a different property. The lender ordered the appraisal for the property, so they should have known what the address was. This was a bait and switch in order for them to make extra money from the bank by "selling" us the higher rate. This is a scam and fraud.Desired Settlement: We want the lender to provide the loan at the 4.125 rate as stated many times by them via email.
