4th & B Concert Theatre

Purchased four tickets to concert for 11-17-12 at venue. One person could not attend, so we attempted to sell the extra ticket as we were told there were no refunds or exchanges.A man approached us on the street and demanded that we hand him the ticket. We thought he was a homeless person and ignored him as there are many in the area and his appearance was disheveled, etc. No other people were in the area so we decided to enter with the unused ticket in our possession.The same person went to the bouncer taking tickets and told us that we would not be allowed entry unless we handed over the unused ticket as he claimed we would sell it inside! The bouncer concurred and the "homeless" guy took our ticket and ripped it up. We then went inside.We proceeded into the club and a minute or two later we were accosted by this guy again who now threatened to kick us out if we didn't like what just happened. It was surreal. It was only then that we finally realized that he had something to do with the club after all and was not a vagrant. He still refused to identify himself, etc., but eventually backed off.As we sat down, my sister-in-law called and told us that she was now free and would meet us at the show. We had to tell her to not bother as the ticket that we bought had been ripped into shreds by the "hobo in charge." We asked a server to get the name of the owner so we could call to complain on Monday, following the Saturday show. She was gracious and complied. On our way out we finally were given the name of the person who harassed us and illegally confiscated our ticket. His name was [redacted]. As it turns out, and this is still hard to fathom, he is the owner. His name is [redacted], and we confirmed his identity by a quick Google search and comparing photos.Other people have complained on YELP.COM of this exact episode and behavior. He is thuggish and what he did was illegal in our opinion. The club is also a run-dowm dump, with toilets overflowing, etc. A pathetic venue overall.
