misrepresntation of product and dishonest sales practicesInvoice 20012041, I asked [redacted] at Fiveash roofing to come inspect a property I am Purchasing and he stated that he would supply me with a letter that a bank would accept. He said the bank would accept his letter and he has done many letters for banks before. later I recieved and invoice and was told that the entire roof needed repair because of water damage with no further explanation and that it would cost me 12000 dollars to replace it through thier company. I paid 150$ for this service. I later hired a diffrent company that was liscenced and deals with insurance claims to roofs. they also charged me 150$ but provided me with a list of damage to the roof along with pictures and comparisons. they gave me an estimate of 450$ to repair the roof and I provided it to my Bank and had the repairs done. To be honest I dont even feel like the guys at five ash even came out and looked at the roof. I feel completly ripped off by this company, and the only reason I called was because they were a Revdex.com company. Desired SettlementA Refund would be great, However removing them from your list of Revdex.com accredited companies would also be acceptable so that other unwary consumers are not ripped off.Business Response Apparently there was some confusion on what we were doing. For this I am sorry. Honestly I vaguely remember the conversation with Mr [redacted]. All I can think happened, was when our man went to inspect, he measured for a new roof and the office personnel provided an estimate for a new roof based on that measurement. I apparently missed the mistake. A FULL REFUND IS IN ORDER AND WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF IMMEDIATELY.

Five Ash Roofing has attempted to repair and then replace the roof on my house; their work was unsatisfactory, and the roof still leaks. In 2001, we purchased a roof from Home Depot with a 30 year piece of mind guaranty; it was installed by their contractor. In 2002, the roof began leaking and has leaked repeatedly since then. Numerous attempts were made by Home Depot over the years to resolve this without success. The last attempt at repair was made by Five Ash Roofing; this too was unsuccessful, and in June of 2015 the roof was replaced by that company. I had asked Mr. [redacted] to alert me to any structural problems and replace any decking necessary. Subsequent to this, we undertook the repair of our house. The years of repetitive water damage had caused significant rot in many of the roofs structural components; several rooms in the house had sustained water damage, as well, and mold was present; we proceeded to undertake the repair of our home. Our contractor found that the replacement roof installed under Home Depot's auspices by Five Ash Roofing was deficient. In one area, it had been installed over rotten decking; there were several areas where the flashing was inadequate. This work was redone by our contractor; in addition, much of the fascia, and many of the soffits and rafters required replacement. Several major structural beams were also heavily damaged, but at no time during the installation of the roof was there ever a mention of any problem. To further complicate matters, almost predictably, the new roof installed by Five Ash roofing has begun to leak. Home Depot has again assigned Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] to resolve this problem. An insurance adjuster under Home Depot's auspices along with our contractor, Mr. [redacted], and the aforementioned representatives of Home Depot inspected the roof and found several areas of deficiency. We have allowed Mr. [redacted] and Home Depot the opportunity to correct their defective workmanship, and during this process, Mr [redacted] has been argumentative and refused to take responsibility for his work despite an independent representative form Home Depot pointing at it's inadequacies. Desired SettlementI would like Home Depot to remove Mr. [redacted] and his company, Five Ash Roofing from the job and allow us to choose a different contractor. If Mr. [redacted] has to be allowed to continue, I would like his work to be supervised by an independent 3rd party. Business Response I was subcontracted by Home Depot At Home Services and did not work directly for the Sharfmans. She is unhappy with them and taking it out on anyone she can. I have bent over backwards attempting to satisfy Home Depot and their customer. She has no right to decide who Home Depot chooses to use. I was not employed by the [redacted] family. I have done everything I have been asked to do by Home Depot and have done it in an timely fashion. I would like this complaint to be completely removed by my file. If Mrs [redacted] continues with her attack on me, I will be forced to sue for slander. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I regret that I cannot withdraw my complaint against [redacted] roofing. They were unable to repair our roof, and after the roof was replaced, it continued to leak. They were given another oppotunity to correct this but again failed to resolve the issue. Recently, another roofer was engaged, and their assessment was that the site that was recently repaired was a marginal job that would have assuredly failed in the near future. The other roofing company repaired several other active leaks that had been pointed out to Mr [redacted] as potential areas of concern by a Home Depot adjuster and our personal contractor when he was given the opportunity to make good on his work. There is nothing about the job that [redacted] roofing has done that is satisfactory; we have numerous photographs to support our claims and stand by our statements. [redacted]
