As per our conversation yesterday, I am writing to explain the situation that led to this complaint, as well as informing you of how we resolved the situationWe are a used car dealership who is in the business of selling Quality Used Cars to customersThe vehicle in question was a Kia Forte which was previously sold on our lot on 8/31/to another customer, and was registered to that customer The customer failed to make payments to the finance company that he acquired and we were required to buyback the vehicle and prepare it for sale on our lot At this point, the Finance company has title of vehicle until it is paid off and then it is handed over to the ownerOn Jan 29, 2016, customer *** *** purchased the same vehicle and we went through the proper procedure for registering the vehicle in the customer’s nameWe applied to that previous finance company for a title return in February and we were denied claiming they did not have that title even though they did They eventually did find the title at the end of May and did return it to us We immediately registered the title in the owner’s name and mailed it to them on June 30, I have made a few attempts to contact the customer and explain the situation and assure them that it was taken care of as well as asking if there was anything else we could do They do not respond to my phone calls
Regarding the “key” to unlock the wheels, we do not have a key, there is no such thing, but we asked them to bring in the vehicle and we would remove them with our tools for them They have not responded
If you have any further questions,
Please give me a call

I did speak to Star Auto and have been waiting for the title for the car I purchased. They will pay any cost for the title. I have gone to the DMV to correct the error and am still waiting for the title. Until I receive the title I could not say the issue was resolved. Sorry that I did not respond to your message. It wasn't clear whether I needed too

The customer purchased the vehicle from us at 5 Star Auto on September 27th, 2015. We submitted the DMV paperwork as required. However, there was an unfortunate error on our part from one of our office document filers, and she had confused the residing city, not the street address. Customer...
contacted 5 Star Auto on January 1st, 2016 and brought forward the issue of the incorrect address. The customer notified us that she had made the corrections at the DMV. The customer was informed that it was going to take some time for the title to be received because it generally takes 10 days after the registration is received. On February 4th, 2016, we received another call from the customer regarding the unreceived title, but unfortunately we regretted to inform her that she should contact and ask the DMV about the title because it was out of our hands once the registration was submitted because we are not the lien holder. Fortunately, [redacted] contacted and spoke with the customer on February 11th, 2016, at 12 p.m., and the conflict was resolved. Regarding the warranty statement, our dealership never has offered 100% warranty unless the customer agrees to purchase an extended warranty, otherwise we offer 50% for 90 days as the standard warranty.
