I had an apartment remodel done from Aug 1, to Sept 27, *** *** of Star Construction and Renovation Services, LLC, hired a guy with no experience to do plumbing in the bathroomThe guy told me this himself The tub was not hooked up correctly and no pee trapI had water from the second floor into the basement and the 1st floor ceiling below had to be taken out to work under the tubStar came back to fix it, same guy did it wrong againI hired a licensed plumber to come ASAP Friday and fix everything for my tenant to move in on SundayI paid $to have the ceiling taken out, have a pee trap installed, correct pvc and tub kit, permit pulled and a city inspection within one dayThe plumber also told me the tub wasn’t secured in place and no tub shut-offs were installed The quote to remove the tub, remove the tile and reinstall the tub correctly with shut offs and repairing the tile, is right about $average so far The tub, in addition to gaps in drywall that didn’t meet, lost vintage tile, the terribly sanded (pass with course grit), wood floor being stained mahogany to match the existing light oak woodwork Lumpy grout lines, not sealed in the bath or kitchenStain was spilled on the grout in the new kitchen tile floor And they lost the keys to the apartment so I had to have new locks installedEach time they changed something that would have been less money for me to pay, *** *** would say, I thought you understood…implying that somehow I wasn’t smart enough to understand that I still owed because they had done something extra for me somewhere elseThere was nothing extraEvery single thing was done badly, I think this gives an idea of how these guys work, VERY poor work in addition to VERY slow workAnd smooth talk the whole wayI did speak to *** *** about reimbursing me for the plumbing cost, he said I should have shopped around and he wanted to go to court because he didn’t think the high dollar amount was fairI checked the Wisconsin Circuit Court page online, http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl, as to why he was so willing to go to court, there are others looking to get money back from him also Currently, *** ***, also of Star Construction, is being charged with felonies, conspiring to steal money from the Milwaukee Business Development officeThat review is on Revdex.com under government action*** *** was not charged, as he is not the agent of StarMy attorney checked thisMy dealings with *** *** were unprofessional He began pushing for cash ahead of the job approximately halfway through the jobIf I wrote a check to Star, he stopped the job and said he didn't have time to cash the checkHe said several times he had a cash flow problemEven though he was getting cash from a concurrent job, read the ripoffreport link belowWith the pending felony charges, he is not able to run checks through the businessHe told me repeatedly not make him the bad guy (so he could pay his workers) when I didn’t want to pay for such a lousy job I have added my review to another site, ripoffreport.com see mine and one other review here, ***
