Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because Mike from 5 star has been telling me for nearly 3 months the same story. Fact is "MAYBE" half the work is completed. The 1300 plus already paid is UNEARNED monies for the work not completed. The span to be repaired is approximately 30' x 8'. Only 1/2 of the span is actually completed. Furthermore, I gave Mike from 5 star my original report from the insurance company back in the beginning of the job. He requested it to make a copy of it. I have repeatedly asked Mike for the original back. He has refused. Mike has repeatedly told me he was not worried about getting the 1300.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: 5 Star is lying. While they completed the room it has nothing to do with the uncompleted side of the room. 5 star has NOT completed the roof. This is merely an attempt to deflect the reality of their services. They willingly do NOT complete a job. They take the money not earned than say well. Most of it is done. This position clearly supports my version that the work is uncompleted. I contacted another contractor who stated that the balance of the work to be done is gong to cost $2500. Pictures do not lie but this contractor does. The pictures show that more than 50% of the roof is not completed. The project agreed upon requires that 5 Star replace any and all structural roofing rafters from the black ice shield to the other end of the roof. Once removed, they are suppose to install ice shield and new roofing. This cost is at $2,500 per another contractor.

Review: 5 Star Construction was awarded a contract earlier this year. The company was asked to hold the work up until further funds have come in. They were notified to complete the work several months back. Although the funds they received exceeds the work completed. They have refused to refund the difference for the other half of the front roof that was not repair.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund half the money they were paid since ha;f the work is NOT done so I can hire a committed company that completes its task at hand.
