5 Star Moving & Storage

We were greatly impressed by the service provided by Star Moving The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful The movers were prompt, courteous, friendly and worked hard! My daughter's townhouse enters through the garage and then it's up the stairs to the main floor and up another flight of stairs to the bedrooms The movers worked non-stop! There's no way we could have moved all that they did, especially in the same time frame! We were all greatly impressed by how hard they worked We wouldn't hesitate to call 5star moving again You guys were great!

I would not recommend Star or use Star again Three out of the four movers were very nice and friendlyOne out the four movers was extremely efficientHe used straps to carry two boxes at a time The lead mover was not honestHe claimed at the seven hour mark (on the move-out day) that the second truck was full and they were done for the dayIt was not fullThey were tired and wanted to be done for the dayHe left us "up the creek"We had to figure out how we were going to move the rest of our belongings since Star didn't careI took photos when the movers opened up the second truck on the moday for proof that it was not full For the first half the move-out day the movers were efficientDuring the second half of the move-out day the movers took many breaks and were very slowThey were definitely not worth $an hour! The house we moved out of had many stairs inside and outsideAccess was difficultWe let Star know this upfront over the phoneStar was not concerned until the lead mover showed up on the move-out day The lead mover claimed we had many belongings not on the list, including a basketball hoopThe basketball hoop was the only belonging my wife forgot to tell Star about over the phoneThe lead mover refused to move the basketball hoopHe claimed it was "infested with yellow jackets and brown recluses"I believe this was a lieI hired someone from Craigslist to move the basketball hoop and they did not complain There were other things that I could have overlooked if the rest of the experience was goodThey shrink-wrapped the leather couch OUTSIDE after maneuvering it through a tight stairwell and a tight doorwayI would think you would shrink-wrap it BEFORE carrying it outside to prevent scratches/damage to the couchThey dumped items from my nightstand on the floor in a pileAt first they said they would shrink-wrap my wife's jewelry case as-isThen they changed their mind and said to remove the jewelry from the caseMy wife removed the jewelry quicklyThen they didn't even bother to move/load the jewelry case I recommend using a different moving companyI would never use Star again [redacted]
