50 Floor

If I could rate this company a 0, I would. I had 50 floor install hardwood flooring throughout my home last year. The contractors put a hole in my wall, messed up my quater panels, removed a marble slab to one of my bathroom entryway that I told them not to remove, and the installation of the flooring is horrible. I had several people come out to look at the floor from the company and finally 50 floor sent a contract company out to do the repairs, but wouldn’t do the repairs until I paid the other half of the money owed. I refused and stated that I would not pay the remaining balance until the new flooring is done. Long story short, my flooring is stlll horrible, I paid someone to repair the hole in the wall, and I have not heard from anyone. I am forced to take legal actions at this point. Oh, I forgot to mention that 50 Flooring was threatening to sue me knowing that the contractor did a horrible job. I was told that it’s part of the company’s policy to send legal paperwork for money owed and 50 floor is aware of the issues. I do NOT recommend this company for any business!

The salesman that came out was full of promises and eager to make the sale. He told us multiple times how he ensures our job is perfect from start to finish - and how we will be able to count on him. As soon as we handed him a check - we never saw him again nor spoke to him again. We did reach out to him several times for different things - but he always had someone else call us back. Our job was promised to start on a particular day. My husband and I worked our schedules around these dates. I was called the day prior to our job starting to tell me that the crew would be coming a day early and that the crew would be arriving at noon. This was a huge inconvenience as I had to leave work. The installation crew (two young men) were kind and considerate, but only somewhat knowledgeable and were not sent to do the job with the correct tools. The trim work they put up was a disaster - ill-fitting trim, broken edges, etc. A call placed to 50 Floor to have the trim fixed (we wanted it to look at least like it did when they tore the old trim off - nothing fancy) made us feel like we were inconveniencing the company and we were overreacting. Pictures were sent...and in short, we were correct...but why did we have to convince a company that it looked horrible? I would NOT recommend 50 Floor to anyone - nor will I ever use them again.
