AMR received the account from the original creditor on 8/4/2017. AMR subsequently sent the initial notification to the consumer at the address provided to the original creditor. AMR made contact with the consumer on 11/1/2017. AMR followed up with an additional notice, per the consumer’s request,...

after the call was concluded.   The consumer initiated investigation of the account on 11/16/2017. Investigation results, including an itemized statement of charges and signed financial responsibility document, were mailed to the consumer on 1/9/2018. AMR reported the delinquent account to the credit reporting agencies on 2/19/2018 as payment was not received. The consumer contacted AMR requesting settlement of the account on 2/19/2018. The consumer’s account will continue to be reported to the credit reporting agencies as the account remains open with a delinquent balance. When the account is paid it will be updated to a paid, or settled, collection account status.

AMR’s Recovery Manager pulled the calls in question for review; as explained to the consumer on 07/15/16, he was properly notified when and how the account would report to his credit report.

payments of $75.00 twice monthly beginning April 17, 2015 running through September 4, 2015. Payments were applied on the following dates: ·         April 17, 2015 ·         April 30, 2015 ·         May 15, 2015 Payment set for May 29, 2015 was declined. Since May 29, 2015 AMR attempted to contact consumer on the following dates: ·         May 29, 2015 ·         June 1, 2015 ·         June 4, 2015 ·         June 15, 2015 ·         June 22, 2015 ·         June 29, 2015 ·         July 8, 2015 ·         October 2, 2015 According to our client, original creditor, they have had no contact with the consumer on these accounts, nor do they show receiving any insurance information. Furthermore, Creek County Ambulance shows no Medicaid coverage for dates of service in question. Call recording from the phone conversation with the consumer on April 2, 2015 was reviewed and AMR can prove the statements made in the consumer’s statement are inaccurate. To date, the account remains open with a balance owed. AMR will continue to report the open balance on the consumers’ credit report.
