We are as disappointed as you that we were unable to secure financing for you. Though this obviously stems from your prior personal financial history, not our lack of effort or willingness to work hard to get you the loan. Unfortunately, financing is not a perfect science and...

we don't always know when the banks will say yes or no. There are factors beyond our control that are also at work, for example how the personal interview goes with the bankers... As far as your concerns about a lack of communication, we have notes in the system that we had called you for a week prior to you showing up, regarding you bringing the truck back. But it is a madhouse around here, and if there were some issues in regards to communication we apologize for the confusion. And lastly in regards to your refund check for down payment, when you came in there was nobody to cut a check (this was a Friday night the 13th). However, we had a check cut for you first thing Monday morning (the 16th) and attempted to reach you then. If somehow our wires crossed then we apologize. You did pick up the check Wednesday the 18th for the full amount of $815.00. Many dealers charge a restocking fee or for a certain amount per mile but in the spirit of good faith we did nothing of the sort. At the end of the day you were able to drive a beautiful truck for over a month on us! We wish you the best in the future and sincerely apologize for our part in any communication breakdown that may have occurred.

We at 5th Gear Motorz truly strive to give our customers the best possible experience!   So much so that we are the highest rated unaccredited business with the Revdex.com and we are about to join them soon.  I have reviewed your case and certainly we did fall short in meeting your expectations for that we have repeatedly apologized.   You have every right to be upset in your shoes I would probably feel the same.   However I strongly disagree that anything "shady" happened.    When you came to us in attempt to buy a car you agreed to completing a credit application which you authorized us to pull your credit in an effort to get your contract to purchase bought by a financing bank.   Sometimes this process involves multiple banks and multiple attempts to gather that info.   We did not pull your credit any more than necessary we have recently changed our credit pulling system as to minimize the number of times as it costs us money that we don't charge you or any other customer every time we pull credit.   Again I'm truly sorry that you didn't have the great experience that most of our customers have.  As far as the refund check the misspelling of your name was a simple error we apologize for that as well no ill intent involved.  
I hope you will forgive our shortcomings and truly have wonderful holiday season!

I'm truly sorry that you felt that we misled or mistreated you regarding this attempt to purchase/trade.  We asked you to come back to renegotiate this is standard part of a car deal.  Unfortunately the timing didn't work for either party.   5th Gear endeavors and...

strives to make our customers happy and satisfied.  However, the facts are that not everything works out all the time.   We did not ask you to take time off work.  We often ask customers to come back when it will work for them and us depending on the circumstances.  You had very specific terms for the type of deal you wanted to make and we were trying to find away for us to determine if the deal made sense for both parties.  We are disappointed that we were unable to find common ground and make a deal that both parties could be pleased with.  You did not put any money down.  We never charged you any money.  Which is the definition of a refund.  What it appears you are actually requesting is compensation.  Since we are not responsible for your decision to take time off work that would not apply.   As far as the way your vehicle was driven.  That is a matter of perception.  Unless you have evidence that the vehicle was driven inappropriately  it is your opinion that your vehicle was driven that way.   I have spoken to the employees who were working on this deal with you,  they assure me that you as a customer and your vehicle were given due diligence in assessing the potential for a deal.  With regard to the fuel gauge they go down as the vehicle is in use an 8th of a tank is hardly any indication the vehicle was driven any certain way or that a specific amount of fuel was used.    
At this time we once again apologize that you were unhappy with the outcome and that we could not make you one of our thousands of happy satisfied customers.  We however do not determine any value to a monetary compensation.
