I financed a car on May 10,2013 and on July 10, 2013 the truck's transmission went and the is not driveable. On May 10, 2013 I financed a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer from [redacted] Worcester, MA. The vehicle had a check engine light on at the time of purchase but the dealer said the reasoning for that was the truck hadn't been started in some time. The dealer gave me a business card to [redacted] in Worcester and told me to get my inspection sticker there, I went and it passed. I called [redacted] to see how and why the car passed and was never able to reach anyone. On July 10, 2013 the car had transmission issues and was not able to drive. I called the dealership and they told me to send the vehicle to Interstate Transmission in Auburn, Interstate towed my truck to repair the vehicle. [redacted] the repair man at Interstate told me the issue was the transmission needed to be rebuilt and the cooler lines needed to be replaced among a list of other emmission codes, he also said he was pretty sure the warranty would not cover the cost. I gave the claim number from the warranty Fast Lane and he proceeded to process the claim. I received a call stating the claim was denied on July 15 stating the repair was not covered under the warranty. On July 16, I went to [redacted] and spoke to [redacted] we pulled out my contract and he assumed I had Level 1 coverage. But I told him I had Level 3 Extended Plus and according to the contract the issue with my vehicle should be covered. [redacted] proceeded to call the warranty company Fast Lane to tell them I should be covered. Fast Lane sent out an inspector and they initially denied my claim saying it was due to negligence that I should I have noticed a leak. But when I told them how long I had the vehicle negligence was out of the question. So they then said they denied my claim due to rust being the issue the part failed in the first place. I called again to discuss options I had with United Consumer Finance in regards to the loan I was making payments on. They suggested between the three companies being the dealership, the warranty Fast Lane and the finance company between the three of them chip in to fix it. I called [redacted] from Interstate transmission on July 30, 2013 to get an estimate to give to [redacted] once he returned from vacation. The estimate cost to repair the transmission and cooler lines was $2,300. So I called [redacted] at the finance company and he said he would try and find somewhere less expensive to fix it. The following day I called to see the status and [redacted] told me they found somewhere cheaper it would cost $1400 to rebuild the transmission only that I should be responsible to fix the cooler lines which was an estimate of $300-$400. I asked [redacted] about the remaining emmission codes and how were those getting fixed. He siad IF the warranty approves the claim on those I would then have to pay the $200 deductible. I then asked [redacted] to see if they still expected me to pay for July's payment since I hadn't drove it all month. He said yes and now it's a month I will owe for August's payment as well. With all the issues the car had I feel I should be able to get my money back for the car I traded in which was a 2000 Ford Focus in which [redacted] received $700 dollars, as well as the down payment of $500, sales tax , the remaining monies owed on the loan , and money I spent to rent a car. I purchased the car with a warranty so I could safely drive my [redacted] back and forth to [redacted] for the [redacted] as well as [redacted] in [redacted] The loss of the vehicle and money paid towards the vehicle has severely affected my family as I am a [redacted] who works full time at the [redacted] of [redacted] as an [redacted] who processes payroll for four locations. I have been unable to complete my job duties to the satisfaction of my department as my job requires some travel time. I have been taken advantage of with this purchase of the truck and justice should be served. Desired SettlementWith all the issues the car had I feel I should be able to get my money back for the car I traded in which was a 2000 [redacted] Focus in which JR Motors received $700 dollars, as well as the down payment of $500, sales tax , the remaining monies owed on the loan , and money I spent to rent a car.Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]@gmail.comThis complaint is filed against 600 Lincoln street auto sales in error. The consumer purchased this vehicle from JR MOTORS.Please correct this complaint. The consumer has no paperwork from 600 Lincoln street auto sales and DID NOT have any business dealings with 600 Lincoln street auto sales. These companies share the same building and that is all.In regards to the complaint. We feel it was filed pre maturely. This problem has been resolved as the finance company and dealer have agreed to fix the transmission. The consumer is now aware of this resolution. The consumer bought a vehicle service contract from fast lane warranty company and that company reneged on their contract with consumer. Her complaint should be with fast lane but as a show of good faith JR Motors has worked with United consumer finance to right this situation for our customer.
