First off when she brought the car we were told that there was not time limit because she was having surgery on her knee and that she was not in an hurry to get her car back.  She also stated many time there was no rush in getting her call back.  She did call during the week and we also...

told her that we were short handed because of  sickness.  She also did call on the Friday and we told her that we did not know where Andy at the time.  He had left and we didn't know where he was.  When she came in the office she demanded her money and we stated to her that we had deposited the check so we could order parts and supplies.  When you are dealing with a body shop we don't have the extra money to buy parts to fix cars with, therefore we have to have money to buy supplies.  We gave her a check for the amount we were given minus the 30% for storage and taxes.  She agreed with the terms and we wrote a letter and it was signed by the lady.  We also had witnesses sign the paper also.  She called the law stating she wanted her money and car back because we had not had the time to complete the repair.  She also again stated that she was in no hurry to get her car fixed.  She also brought the car on Monday and only gave us 3 days to complete the repair.  She really showed herself when she came into the office demanding she wanted her money and keys again.  We also had money in our account and she also told us that there was not any money in the bank.  Then she demanded she wanted cash were in a business you don't keep that kind of cash in a body shop.  She also demanded that we give her pay for gas going back and forth to the bank.  She should have took the check the day we gave it to her instead of waiting to cash it.  Final saying she really never told us that we had a deadline was to have her car back.  She stated multiple times that there was not a rush to complete her car because of her having knee surgery.  We don't think that she should get the 30% back because of the parts and supplies that were needed to fix her car.  When we were told we had all the time we needed and then she comes 3 days later demanding her car.
