Per your request, I am writing you regarding a letter you received from [redacted].
7 Diamonds has been making the finest men’s clothes since its inception in Spring of 2000. We have over seven hundred boutiques across the globe and have been doing business with premier stores like Nordstrom, Von Maur and Macy’s for the last ten years.
Besides our world class quality that goes into every item we make, we also pride ourselves in customer service. This is why I was so shocked to see your letter.
I personally remember speaking with Mr. [redacted]. When he first called he spoke with our customer service manager [redacted]. He said he was cleaning out his closet and came across one pair of jeans that had some flaws in the pockets. He said he purchased these at Universal Jeans {We assume he meant Universal Gear because we have never done business with aUniversal Jean Company} with in the last year and gave Olga a skew number. When she looked up the jeans in question it was for a item that we had in our line in 2009 – 2011.
This pant has been sold out since April of 2011. Olga tried to explain to him that we cannot replace this pant because it does not exist in our inventory. Olga then asked if he could take them back to the store and he mentioned that they no longer exist at the location he purchased them. After several attempts of trying to communicate with this person, she then placed him on hold, explained the situation to me and I picked up the phone to discuss the issue with him.
When I spoke to him he told me the same story “I was cleaning out my closet and came across a pair of jeans that I purchased last year and it has flaws in the pocket area” I again explain to him that this particular item is no longer available and was an item that was in our line 5 years ago. I repeatedly said to him that I wish could help him but there is nothing I can do due to the fact the jean is so old, I cannot verify where he purchased them and that the store he says he bought them at a store that no longer exists.
I respectfully said I am sorry and we ended the conversation. I DID NOT HANG UP ON HIM!
[redacted], As you can see our customer service is paramount to our business and I can assure you we have a great reputation for taking care of any issues that may come up with our brand and this is why I have taken the time to write you this.
I will assume this is a duplicitous claim with no merit and the matter is closed.

Review: Purchased two pairs of jeans at a pricey cost at the Chelsea, NY location of Universal Jeans, and jeans were found to be lacking in quality, almost as if they were counterfeit?? Both sets of front pockets ripped within days and they stick out. When contacted the company for assistance, they were dismissive and told us there is nothing they could do for us because they were too old (we purchased them last year, but sat in the closet because of the pocket condition). The company then just hung up the phone on us.Desired Settlement: Would like the company to be 1) friendly, 2) professional, 3) to inquire about the problem, 4) to seek a resolution other than just hang up the phone on us, 5) to replace or professionally repair the pockets.
