I wanted to get my Jaguar XJ transported from NJ to CA I submitted my information on a website and I got like calls and email from different comapnies at the moment I went with one of the lowest prices because I did wanted to get the same service and safe money but weeks pass and they didnt transport my car I seen a couple of email from *** *** from star his prices wasnt the highest, so I call him and he got me a wheeler to transport my car in hrs I highley recommend this company
[redacted] was extremely helpful. I called other companies and felt as if I was being scammed but not with this one. He answered every question that I had and went into full detail about everything I needed to know. I've referred him to other friends and family and would use his services again if needed.
This is the worst Auto Transport company I ever work with. Don't trust them!
I ordered Transportation for pickup car, and I was promised it would be picked up on 11/03/15.
My car's pickup was delayed by almost three weeks! Transport Advisor, [redacted] was the person who took my order.
Because my car wasn't picked up at the right time from Auto Auction's parking lot, my car was moved to Auction Storage. [redacted] promised to pick the car every day, and never did. He said he called the Storage, but they informed me that he NEVER did! So my car was moved in to the Storage, for which they charged me $40 a night! I had asked [redacted] to talk to Storage because it was his fault my car was not picked up he needed to resolve this question. In repeated phone calls to him in the following days, he said he had called and everything was okay!
Almost after three weeks of promises, he finally found the Truck to pick my car up for the right our previously agreed price.
However, when the truck driver called me from the Storage pickup, he said there was a $500 storage bill owed by me!!!
When I tried to call [redacted], he would not answer the phone!
[redacted] promised me he would call and that there would not be any storage fee!
I tried calling their office and have them transfer my call to him, he still would pick up the phone!
I decided to agree to letting the truck driver pay for the storage and pick up my car.
Once the car was picked up from Storage, suddenly [redacted] answered his phone, but pretended not to know me, and denied making arrangements to waive the storage fee.
So, I had to let the driver bring my car next morning and bring me receipt $500 from the storage, which I had to pay for the truck driver to release the car to me!
From the beginning of my experience, there was miscommunication about the date of pick up. One date was agreed upon then later changed without any notification. We found out by family whom we were buying vehicle from. Company did not contact us.
Our jeep was delivered late at night in a parking lot with no parking lot lights. We tried to look over our vehicle using the lights from the vehicle we were driving. The jeep was parked with the front end towards the curb. I wish we would have turned the jeep around to investigate. all the damages our family told us about were on the paper work. We thought vehicle looked ok.
We live less then 8 minutes away and as soon as we parked in our garage and got out, we noticed two black marks and dents in the hood. The debts were not on any of the paper work. We called the company as soon as we noticed and left a message. Needless to say the company never contacted us Monday morning when we thought they would. We contacted them. They sent us an email saying if we signed off on it they are not liable for any damages regardless if it wasn't on paper work or not. They did however say they are looking into the matter. We are still waiting to find out what will come out of this. Hopefully they will realize it's no fault of ours. We did not put two black dents in the hood.
Long story short -- my experience with 7 Star Auto Transport was great and I would recommend them. My rep was [redacted]. Continue below for the long story, but I wanted to say that up front because I suspect most readers will not want to read all of the details below.
I felt compelled to write this positive review of 7 Star Auto Transport because in doing my research for a car transport company of my new convertible sports car, I found nothing but bad reviews all around for almost every company I encountered (I plan to post this review on the many sites where I encountered such negative reviews so that consumers can see some positive experience). And indeed, in dealing with various sales people from other car transport brokers, you get the feeling that you are indeed dealing with â??car salesmanâ? who are just trying to get you to sign the contract and you donâ??t know whether to believe what they are saying about â??we have a truck available.â? It all feels incredibly sleazy and shady -- and it doesnâ??t help that you read so many negative reviews from so many sources. And making matters even worse is that you have some broker agents that will talk bad about other companies (saying stuff like â??be careful, that companyâ??s not insuredâ?, etc.). In the end, I suspect that such brokers are just trying to make you scared so that youâ??ll choose their more expensive company over the one giving you a cheaper quote (i.e. just trying to say anything to lock in the deal) -- but at the end of the day, all of these brokers will work with the same pool of trucks available in your area -- but obviously, if you are willing to pay more, then more trucks will be willing to take on the assignment.
And quite frankly, my initial impression of 7 Star Auto Transport was sort of the same. I found them from www.transportreviews.com, but if you look at other places (Revdex.com, Yelp), youâ??ll find 7 Star also has its fair share of negative reviews. I spoke with [redacted], who is a nice guy, but also came across as a little bit of a fast talking car salesman just trying to seal the deal. He kept saying we have a truck nearby ready to do it, just need to get the contract signed. I really didnâ??t know whether to believe him or not. I was so afraid to give my credit card after reading stories about giving the deposit and then nothing happens for days. He said he had a driver willing to do it and even lowered the price further (which seemed like an even larger red flag at first, but not after you understand how this business works).
But what sealed the deal is that [redacted] actually put me on a 3 way call with the carrier who confirmed that they have a space on a truck and can pick up the vehicle in an hour. So this wasnâ??t just a broker agent saying that they have a truck available -- this was the broker agent letting me speaker to the carrier agent who confirmed that there is a truck in the area. But at least it seemed that [redacted] was doing everything he could to allay my concerns. I was still a little suspicious and nervous (was it really the carrier agent...or maybe just [redacted]â??s co-worker in the next cubicle pretending to be the carrier agent...or maybe it was the carrier agent but he was told to just say whatever in order to seal the deal -- these are the thoughts that run through your head!!!), but I took the plunge and electronically signed the contract.
Once I signed, this put the process in motion and I was able to secure the spot with the carrier. The driver was notified of the pickup address. And to my surprise -- the car was picked up about one hour later. And even more surprising -- the vehicle was delivered 2 days later (from Illinois to Las Vegas). The driver was very nice (kept in constant communication on the estimate delivery time). Was even willing to drive the car to a more convenient address. The car arrived in pristine condition (it was an enclosed carrier -- covered in plastic).
So in the end, I was very happy that I went with 7 Star. I was being quoted prices from some brokers of about $1450 to $1500 and up to $1700 or $1800 for some -- but 7 Stat got me a transport for $1150. I think its important to keep in mind that the reason I may have gotten such a good deal is because the truck had only 1 space left and the driver was coming out this way already anyway. Rather than leave a space empty, because they were close to the pickup location anyway, they were willing to accept the job at what might have otherwise been a below market price. I think this is clearly a case a fortunate timing and luck on my part. But I raise this because it shows that the same delivery job that others bid out at $1500 can be had for $1150 -- but you may have to be patient and flexible because it may not be picked up right away.
Bottom line -- I think you have to understand going into this that all brokers work the same. They quote you a price based on what they think they can get, but then they look at the pool of available carriers to see if they can find a truck thatâ??s willing to do it for the price they gave you (keeping in mind that the deposit you will pay is the brokerâ??s fee, with the remainder being for the carrier/driver) -- and if they can find a match, it gets done. But if you live in an area that is not heavily trafficked, then it may take time for your bid to be picked up -- or it might not be picked up at all because no one is willing to drive out there for that price. Brokers are just doing their best to find some carrier with space that will take the job.
So I think any consumer needs to keep this in mind when reading all of those review sites. Iâ??m sure there are people with bad experiences, but they may have had unrealistic expectations. And those reviews are often only one side of the story.
In the end, what can I say about 7 Star Auto Transport -- I was quoted a price, I was told of a pickup timeframe -- and both were exactly as represented. The car was delivered much faster than I ever expected and in perfect condition. No surprises -- other than that, after being so nervous about the process, it went so smoothly and quickly. Thank you [redacted] and 7 Star Auto Transport. I hope this positive review will help offset some of the negatives ones out there -- as well as give future consumers some assurances about what to expect in researching an auto transport company.
7 Start Auto Transport is a kind of middle man scamer. I contracted them to have my Honda Cr v moved from Wisconsin to Baltimore, we agreed on every thing. I contacted them they day the fees was starting to be added in to my account for over using the parking lot. I contact them back and they said they can not make it anymore. Couple of minutes later their friends contacted me to have that car moved for the double of that price. Those Indian knows their game.
I will never recommend someone to use this company
My husband and I needed our car transported from MA to SC within a week's time. [redacted], of 7 star auto transport, was extremely helpful. He explained how the process worked and provided us with a quote that was doable! We appreciated his steadfastness, customer service and all around positive attitude. He was a tremendous help during our move. Our car was transported smoothly without incident and arrived on site, exactly where we wanted, before we did!! We will definitely use this service again, if needed. It speaks volumes that my husband asked me to leave this review. A+ and thanks so much for your help! Many blessings.
I called 7 auto transport for transporting my car from geoeriga to nashville, tn. I did not get the dates I requested, they did not try to get the dates I wanted because the carrier they could not deliever during that time. there was miscommunication by the company to the carrier, result ing mishandling of my vehicle and and damage. The carrier is blaming the company for bad information and last minute changes. Iam very upset due to the lack of cooperation by the companies supervisior. the person I was talking to tries to fix the problem but too is giving me the run around... I may have to pay for my car damages due to no paper trail between drivers and involing the the damages. I had to keep calling back for information continuosly in order to solve the issue but has gotten no where.
They quoted me a price then could not deliver. Told me that two of them would work on it and call me. No call all day finally gave up. The whole auto transport industry needs to be regulated in my opinion the drivers, brokers and customer service personal are unethical.
This was the most stressful process ever. [redacted], the agent who worked on my order, blatantly LIED to me. NOTHING was done as was agreed upon initially. Will NEVER work with them again and would never recommend them to anyone. Avoid them if you can. I had the worst experience with this company.
My car was supposed to be shipped from Cleveland, TN to Anaheim, CA. I was moving for a job and completely new to the area. I had 2 very specific restrictions. I needed my car to be picked up on either May 27th or May28th. I was out of town before, and then going on an international vacation after the 28th of which majority of the time I did not have access to phone or email. I also was reaching Anaheim the night of June 8th. My second restriction was that I needed to have my car delivered June 9th or after. I started this process early and wanted to make sure everything was planned out perfectly.
I spoke to [redacted] for hours initially, and made it very clear that I had these restrictions. I had talked with a lot of other agencies/brokers and many of them told me it was not possible for them to deliver my car because of the specific restrictions I had. There were a handful that said they would be able to work with me, but it would cost extra, which I was completely fine with because I knew I had a complicated situation, and I wanted there to be no problems.
[redacted] told me that he was very good at this, and it could def be done since it was way in advance. I would just have to pay a little more. He said my car would be GUARANTEED to be picked up either the 27th or the 28th from my house. And then my car would be stored, for which I would be charged storage fees. It would then be delivered June 9th or after to my residence in Anaheim. He took the storage fees into account and charged me extra on my quote ($1150 + $135 for storage and delivery fees = $1285 total) . I asked him several times if he would be able to do this exactly as we discussed, and I told him if he couldn't do it, to tell me upfront. He told me to trust him and GUARANTEED everything we had discussed by sending me in writing an email with all the details. He also said that he talked to his supervisor who agreed everything could be planned properly since it was 2+ weeks in advance. He also said all the phone calls are recorded in case there were any problems. So I then signed the contract and paid the deposit on May 14th.
[redacted] calls me May 23rd or May 24th, and asks if I am willing to meet a carrier on Interstate 40, which is no where close to where I live (At least 100 miles away). He says there are other options if this one doesn't work. I tell him no I do not want to do this. He then says he will get back to me with other options.
It is May 27th, and I still haven't heard anything back. I send him an email in the morning. After no response, I call him around noon. He tells me there is a carrier CONFIRMED for tomorrow, and that they are working on the paperwork. I should get all the information via email in a few hours. I ask him multiple times if everything is set for tomorrow. He says yes the carrier is confirmed, and it should arrive sometime in the afternoon. Don't worry, everything is set up.
I do not receive any confirmation, so around 5pm, I call back. I talk to [redacted], who tells me nothing is confirmed for tomorrow. She says they have been having trouble getting a carrier for my car. I tell her I talked to [redacted] earlier today, and he told me that everything was set for tomorrow. I ask to talk to [redacted]. [redacted] tells me that [redacted] has already left for the day, and doesn't know why he would say that when a carrier had never been assigned to me. I never hear back from [redacted] again.
I explain the situation and tell her that I will be out of town and I need it to be picked up by tomorrow. [redacted] says that they will try to get a carrier for tomorrow and tells me she will call me back in a little bit. She does call me back later, but is unable to get a carrier. She says that they will try again tomorrow morning.
I call them again the next morning for the status. The supervisor talks to me and I explain the entire situation. I was very upset that I was lied to by [redacted] who confirmed pickup. I told them to listen to all the phone calls.
On the evening of the 28th, they tell me they have found a carrier for the next day and my car would be picked up midday (btw 11am - 3pm). I can leave my car keys hidden somewhere and the driver will come and pick it up without me being there. The carrier has a yard in Fontana, CA which they tell me is close to Anaheim. They tell me that the carrier as a favor has agreed to store it for free. Then, my may either be picked up or they will try to drop it off. They tell me that they had to pay extra since it was so last minute and they will actually lose some money.
Storage fees were taken into account when all of this was planned, and I was paying extra for them from the beginning. I planned this way in advance so it is not my fault that your company dropped the ball and could not arrange this earlier, and then lied to me about it. They didn't charge me any extra money then. Asked me if the plan was okay. What choice did I have? I was very frustrated and leaving town the next day. I had to agree with everything because I needed my car to be shipped so I would have it when I reached.
At this point, I had already lost all of my trust with this company, and I didn't want any problems last minute in picking up the car since no one would be home. I give them detailed instructions and ask them to let me know when my car is picked up. I also call the carrier and give detailed instructions to them as well.
On the 29th, I leave in the morning to go out of town. I call the carrier late afternoon, to see what the status is. They tell me that they will not be able to pick up the car until tomorrow, the 30th. I never get confirmation that my car is picked up. So finally on the 31st I call again, and they tell me that my car is picked up and en route.
After I reach Anaheim, I call 7 Star morning of June 9th. I ask them to drop off my car, as was agreed upon originally. They tell me that the carrier cannot drop off my car, and that I need to pick it up from their yard in Fontana, which is not too far away, and I can take a taxi. I am upset because it should be delivered to me as that was the original term when I signed the contract. The supervisor says that [redacted] has been suspended for lying and not handling my order properly. Everything in the original agreement essentially had been nullified. The yard is 40 miles away from where I am, and it costs me $150 for the taxi ride. I try to look at public transport options through trains and buses, but there is no direct way there. I was not reimbursed the $150 taxi ride.
This was the most frustrating process ever. I was directly LIED to. Their communication was horrible. I had to keep calling them and asking for updates. Nothing happened the way they promised me. They charged me extra in the very beginning for all my restrictions, but delivered on nothing. They are dishonest. I had to pay an extra $150 for the taxi to pick up my car as they refused to drop it off. What happened to me was very unprofessional with terrible customer service. Never again would I use them. There are a lot of other companies, and I wish I had gone with someone else. Be very cautious in any dealings with 7 star.
