Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [redacted] We have rejected 765-Deck's resolution of our problem The bottom line to this nightmare is the deck was constructed so that all water ran to the back of our home If the deck had been constructed to have the water run off the deck we would not have experienced yrsof this problem As mentioned to you on the phone this back and forth with MrTi [redacted] will go on forever He is not taking any responsibility whatsoever We have submitted the damage to our homeowner's insurance company The least MrT [redacted] can do is cover our $deductible! I have never met MrT*** If he is interested in seeing what repairs have been done he can call to schedule an appointment where we will be happy to even show him photos of what the damage wasThank you for whatever help you are able to give us [redacted] ###-###-#### Regards, George Yarus

years ago... ”Client was in the hospital "Both were there when we started the job; I was therepersonally .?” Immediate problem with the water "The decking is nearly water tightso it held some water on the surface" The company did some bandaid work ” Mr. [redacted]drilled holes all through the new vinyl decking prior to him calling us or giving us time to come look at the deck and fix any issues" “ Workmanship warranty expired 3 years ago,and the deck is 8 years old...." Don't drill holes in hollow decking...the water can runback to the house!!!!!!!! , Purchase date 6/26/07 Talked to Company 10/1/07.......................................That's 8 Years Ago ????????????Mr. and Mrs [redacted] accompanied salesman Randy C[redacted] (who is noted in complaint), a salesman that sued our company for unpaid commissions on the sale of the [redacted] deck.They were the key witnesses in a lawsuit brought against our company; so, I am assuming thats why they've never called our office, and I believe after the lawsuit they understand that the deck was miss priced at time of sale, received their new deck for around $5,000 less than it should have cost, and they are also well aware that we lost our defense of the lawsuit and had to pay Mr. C[redacted] is commissions. Although Mr. C[redacted] is no longer employed here we can afford them his phone number if they have a complaint about their deck.After the initial trip back to the job to look into the water complaints of the deck holding water, we witnessed holes drilled all through the decking allowing the water to pass under and in through hollow decking. If water is allowed to go into the hollow decking, our flashing of the deck itself to the house is of no use as the deck acts as a pipeline sending water back to the house and rendering our flashing defenseless.Response.".Mr [redacted] should have never drilled holes in the deck. This made water problem. Bad Idea., which I conveyed to him after I witnessed the holes.

Review: In September, 2007 765-DECK began building the deck. The start date had been delayed due to their busy season. On the date material was delivered and crew showed to begin I was in the hospital. There was no call or advance notice that job was starting. Deck was not built to original specs. There was immediate problem with water. The company did some bandaid work to fix the water problem after my complaint, but our workmanship warranty expired 5 years later. After the years and the amount of rain we have had this year I realized the water problem was rotting our home. Another contractor was called in to check the damage and repair before we have a mold problem.Desired Settlement: This experience has surely taught me a lesson. Right now we are paying out of our own pockets to have this problem fixed. 765-DECK was not easy to work with and I feel should pay our expenses to repair our damages. The deck was built so that any rain water/moisture would lay against our home with no place to go but cause severe damage. Mr. T[redacted]'s final words in writing to us in Dec,2009- "We will do what ever you want,but I cannot afford to do this work for free."
