Review: I paid this man with a personal check made out to him. They moved my granddaughter's furniture to Washington DC. Furniture got there all scratched up. He told my granddaughter he would send her a check for $200.00 to cover the cost of the damages. We have never received the check and when I call they just say call the office (which I have done. I've spoken to his brother and partner and still no check. The move took place on July *, 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like the check for $200.00 mailed to me now.

Review: I contacted "[redacted]" from 855-451-MOVE.COM, Inc. from their ad on [redacted]. I was in need of a whole-house move. When I spoke with [redacted] he told me he had a "fleet" of 5 trucks and had two available for the day in question and that he would be willing to do the move and it would take two trips. From his ad and his verbal confirmation, I was told they had $10,000 worth of Cargo Insurance to cover the damages during the move.The day of the move, three college-age kids with a Penske rental truck showed up. They proceeded to back the truck directly into my fence and shatter it. It became very apparent these were not professional movers but rather kids trying to make some money. The end result was a 16-hour day consisting of three trips back and forth (which, incidentally, did not cover everything as I had to go back and pick things up myself). Virtually every single piece of my wood furniture is scuffed, scratched, or broken. A 52" LCD flat screen TV had the screen cracked, three lamps were broken, my desk, my desk chair, my glass coffee table were all damages. My walls in both the old and new house are scuffed and dented. At the end of the move, I paid the movers their quoted price and requested a copy of their insurance certificate. I received a copy of the Insurance Certificate and they left.The next day I contacted [redacted] and told him how disappointed I was - he offered to take $400 off the price as restitution. Later that day, I discovered the TV screen was cracked (~$2,000 TV when purchased) and was totally inoperable. I then contacted the insurance company and filed a claim. The next day, I was told by the insurance company that there was no existing insurance policy with 855-451-MOVE.COM, and in fact, [redacted] confirmed that he did not have insurance through them. The certificate was a fake. When I contacted [redacted] again about the damage his response was - "My dad's an attorney, I guess I'll see you in court."Desired Settlement: I have approximately $5,000 in damage. In addition to the physical damaged goods, I had to re-assemble all the furniture that was not properly put together. I want restitution for all my damaged goods and labor.
