After reviewing the file of [redacted] on his 2005 Buick Lesabre I recieved a phone call from [redacted] on 06/**/2014 stated that his car was at a body shop that he got into a accident.
He had his car repaired by us on 07/**/2013 with the miles 57095 when repairs made to the left rear...

rotted brake line was repaired. And that repair was covered by the customer extended
warranty.  We called his warranty for the repair and the covered failed parts which was in the left rear of the car.  A year later the customer calls General Motors and stated that we did not do
the repairs properly so on 06/**/2014 I went to the body shop with my shop forman and took pictures of the car and the repairs that we made which are still good on the brake line in the rear of the car.
the issue with the car at this point is a brake line which is a separate part in the front left of the car which comes off the master cylinder. I asked the customer if he would like us to repair his car we would give
him an estimate and at that point stated he would take us to court.
attached are 2 pictures the 1st picture is ther repairs that were made on the rear of the left rear of the car and the 2nd picture is the part that is no good know.

Review: I fiinanced a 2009 Toyota Matrix at 86 Chevrolet back in July of this year. Since then, approximately 2 months, I have been waiting for a permanent registration and title, only to find out that the car had a number of liens on it and the bank I was associated with said the dealer should have never sold me that car. I had called the dealership to inquire about my registration being at the office yet but they told me that the DMV was backed up and they would have it by the time I gave my frst payment. When I went to go pay the $500 I owed the bank towards the trade-in plus the first months payment to the dealership they said they would have my registration rite then and there once I had paid them but I left empty-handed with them saying sometime next week. I had gotten two tickets because of the registration being expired and the dealership promised to pay because of their neglect but never have. I told them to either give me my money back or another car that I would actually have ownership of with the required documents to go along with it. In the meantime, they gave me dealer plates and their insurance and registration. I am fed up and have decided to give the car back due to the 90 day period so I left the car with the dealership saying to meet me in small claims court. Today I went to the DMV to turn in my old plates but they said I am not in the system and that the dealership still owns the plates so I never truly had ownership of the car.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for my trade-in, money I put towards the trade-in, and first months payment.

Response:

To whom it may concern,

We do realize that there is a delay in [redacted]'s registration process. But, it is not due to multiple liens that are on the title of the vehicle as stated by [redacted]. Delays in Motor Vehicle process due to clerical error or just simple human error happen all the time. I will also furnish and send copies of the title that shows free and clear of any liens. [redacted] needs to understand that since he has brought up this concern about the delay in his registration process we have done everything to make him feel comfortible. He has not suffered any trafic violations that he had to pay and as he also states we have also given him a dealer plate for him to drive around. While working on taking care of the delay in registration process, [redacted] also wanted to see if we can get him financed on a another vehicle. Unfortunalely, after all our efforts we have not been able to secure a loan for him through any of our finance sources due to credit reasons.

After all our efforts to help this situation, [redacted] came by our dealership and abandoned his vehicle by the street on September [redacted], 2013. Once he walked in, he threw the keys on top of the desk and walked out without even given anyone at the dealership a chance to even speak with him. There was no reason for this matter escalate outside of the dealership when we informed him all of the steps that we were taking to correct this issue. [redacted] needs to understand that abandoning his vehicle is against his contractual agreement. Unfortunately, there is no money to be given back when the purchase process is done, he is obligated to pay off the vehicle to full balance. In the state of New York, there is no 90 day return policy. Once the contract is finalized you truly own the car.

[redacted] needs to come down to the dealership and reclaim his vehicle. Hopefully, [redacted] understands that this is nothing you can just walk away from due a delay.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

There is no excuse for not having the necessary paperwork needed to show that the Toyota Matrix is in fact mine. The DMV is not at fault here because I was never in the system to begin with. The file sent to the Revdex.com showing the title to the car is still under the name [redacted], and was recently issued on September *, 2013. If liens were satisfied on July **, 2013, and I had purchased the car on July *, 2013, then wouldnt the title have been reissued within that month to state that I am the new owner and have all the correct information including mileage, which was falsified at purchase. The car was given to me with a mileage of 34,240 miles, but on the title it was 25,847 miles as of September *, yet another inaccuracy. I have received the permanent registration to the vehicle but only after I initiated complaints thru the Revdex.com and took legal action. The dealership surely thought I would overlook all these indiscrepencies by pushing the car onto me, knowing I was a new driver and all, but it is just one too many mistakes on their part.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Please take this as our final response to you. We have sent you all legal documents from state of NY showing you the step by step process that we had taken to finalize your Motor Vehicle. You still questioning faultiness of your registration! You have your registration to the 2009 Toyota Matrix that we sent you via Fedex, and Revdex.com has a copy of it through my attachement that I have sent the mediator. Infact if you like to go to your local DMV or call NYS title bureau you will see that this vehicle is titled to your name with the one and only lien from ALLY BANK. [redacted] please understand, delay in your motor vehicle process should not mean that you abandon your contractual agreement. As of today, your loan with ALLY BANK is still open according to the bank. If you like to come back and pick up your vehicle we will authorize 1 payment that we would make on your behalf to ALLY BANK. This payment would go toward paying your payment that was due on 09/**/2013. This is a good will gesture that we will offer you for the inconvenience caused to you due to the delay of your registration.

Review: Please help to persuade the 86th Street Chevrolet SAAB, Inc. dealership (thereafter dealership) of General Motors Corporation (thereafter GM) to replace all the brake lines of the brake system of my car, and compensate me for the payments I did to Ceico General Insurance Company (thereafter Geico) for the accident that I had because of inappropriate repair of my car by this dealership in July 2013.My car is Buick LeSabre 2005; VIN [redacted] in good condition; mileage is 58.8K.First failure of brake pedal occurred on the [redacted] of July 2013.At that time the car was on most comprehensive extended warranty of General Motors Corporation GMPP. The dealership replaced only one of the lines of the brake system. The repair was covered by under the warranty. There is warranty that still covers the repair till either 07/**/14 or twelve thousand miles. Second time the brake pedal of my car went to the floor on the [redacted] of Juny 2014. This time brake pedal failure caused accident and my car was towed to direct repair shop [redacted] of [redacted] (thereafter Geico). I have full coverage with Geico. On 06/**/14 during the inspection of my car by Geico adjuster [redacted] and the repair shop owner [redacted] stated that the brake system of the car, was already in dangerous condition during its repair by the dealer of GM in July of last year; the dealer improperly repaired only one of the lines of the brake system; the dealer had to replace all the lines of the break system..Geico stated that brake system will not be covered and I will have to arrange with GM or its dealer to repair the car.On 06/**/14 I contacted the dealership. The dealership refused to repair the brake system. Then I contacted the Buick Customer Assistance Center via ###-###-####[redacted] opened a case regarding the issue. Its number is [redacted].My multiple follow up calls to GM do not give any result[redacted] stated that representative of the dealership [redacted] stated them that it passed thirteen months since the repair. That was not true. It passed eleven months since [redacted] of July 2013 when I received by car. The car was driven less than two thousand miles since the repair. On 06/**/14 Geico repair shop completed all repairs except the brake system.Because I could not wait for the dealership and GM any longer I agreed to pay out of pocket for the replacement of two pipes of the brake lines near the ABS unit. One of the pipes is the ruptured one; the other is its neighbor that would break very soon according to the mechanics of the shop.Once again it was a partial solution.I believe that until the car brake system will not be fully replaced the car presents a danger.Desired Settlement: Please help to persuade the 86th Street Chevrolet SAAB, Inc. dealership (thereafter dealership) of General Motors Corporation (thereafter GM) to replace all the brake lines of the brake system of my car, and compensate me for the payments I did to Ceico General Insurance Company (thereafter Geico) for the accident that I had because of inappropriate repair of my car by this dealership in July 2013.

Review: I purchased a truck in order to register the truck as a T&LC car. They informed me that the registration for the car would be complete in no later then 2 weeks. I went ahead and did all necessary paperwork required by the T&LC and payed all the fees. I only have ten days to register the vehicle with the dmv. Its been 23 days and I come to find out that the dealer doesn't have a the title for the car, meanwhile they gave me a temporary registration and New York plates that were put on the car.Desired Settlement: I need them to refund me for my losses during the 23 days that have passed as well as any extra days that they are going to take to finish this up. Losses include the fees I paid that are going to have to be paid again, insurance that I have put on the vehicle, and loss of money from the work the vehicle could have been used for in this timeframe.
