I wanted to write and let the Revdex.com know that this is not the case and I am satisfied. Because of the holiday, we were playing phone tag and getting information exchanged. We have resolved the case and 89 Paint is going to issue a refund for issue I had with them. The case is closed and I am satisfied. Please change the status of the case as it is not accurate.
Thanks,

We hired 89 paint to repair our ceiling. We were promised that the job would be done to our satisfaction and the job would be checked first before we were expected to pay. The job was sloppy, the ceiling did not have a second coat. They had to use our hair dryer as they did not have enough equipment. The painter was cleaning equipment at the spigot outside our house next to the brick. I had to stop him as I was afraid that paint would spray on my house. The paint was splashed on my cabinets. Caulking was not done. It took several calls and 1 month to resolve the issue. I had a second appointment with [redacted], the original sales person on a second day and was supposed to have another crew complete the job but she evidently "forgot" about the 2nd appointment. I never did speak with the business owner. I guess we were not important enough. No one came to check the job and complete the job to our satisfaction until we made several phone calls. It was a terrible ordeal and I would never recommend this company.

Review: 89 Paint was contracted to paint our entire house. They were paid in full. They gave us a guarantee on their paint and labor.

Within 1.5 years the one side of the house had paint bubbling, chipping and peeling due to the paint being sprayed on.

They have had their rep [redacted] come out but he never followed upon getting the crew out to re -paint just that one side. [redacted] even took the paint bucket with the paint codes to match the paint. A phone call to [redacted] in December 2015-He advised we should call the office as he is on a leave of absence.Desired Settlement: Need to get a reputable contractor out to re - paint that side of the house

Review: 89 Paint was contracted to do two jobs in my home. One was a full interior house painting (Which was done amazingly well. They went above and beyond on that job). The second was painting our kitchen cabinets and built in hutch. This job and overall experience left much to be desired. 89 Paint was called out multiple times to fix issues, clean overspray, clean dropped paint on our floor and new carpet, remove tape from hinges, clean painted hinges, remove tape from drawer slides and paint missed surfaces. After the 5th time of showing some of the same areas that needed to be corrected, the job foreman completely changed his tune and it went from a “We will do what it takes to make your job right.” to, “I can’t keep coming out here because I have 21 other customers that need to have their houses painted”. The experience started off professional but once we got to the end of the job the tune of the foreman changed and the crew seemed rushed and not very thorough. During this job, a piece of our hutch was broken by a crew member. Instead of apologizing and saying we would try to fix it, the response from the foreman was, “What do you want me to do? I can’t go to [redacted] and buy this piece.” Needless to say, that was not acceptable. After realizing no matter how many times the company was going to come out, the issues would not be corrected. The attitude of the foreman was horrible on the last trip and his guarantee of his word regarding making our project correct became worthless. He said he would come out the last time and make sure everything was done and he ended up leaving right after everything was pointed out. I ended up sending the painters away so we could put our dishes up (they had been on the dining room table and floor for 2 weeks). I am going to have to remove the overspray, clean the front of the hinges and finish painting the cabinets myself. I am still finding places where paint was not applied and/or places we indicated that needed to be corrected.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is a refund for half the amount of the job for the unsatisfactory services performed on this project.

Hello,

Review: We hired 89 Paint to paint our kitchen cabinets in the Spring/Summer of 2013. We obtained estimates from three different paint companies. One company, [redacted], described a detailed approach to painting our kitchen cabinets where the cabinet doors would be removed and painted at their warehouse and the kitchen cabinet boxes would be taped off and spray painted. We were told by [redacted] of 89 Paint that 89 Paint could do the same and tape off the kitchen to spray paint the cabinet boxes and paint the cabinet doors offsite. [redacted] also noted that 89 Paint did not include as many steps as described by [redacted], but he argued that their multi-step approach was a bit unnecessary. My husband and I decided to select 89 Paint to paint our kitchen cabinets. Although we were told that they would tape off the kitchen and spray paint, they did not. When I raised this issue with [redacted], he indicated that I must have misunderstood him because he only intended to spray paint the cabinet doors, but not the cabinet boxes. The cabinets were hand painted while the cabinet doors were sprayed painted, resulting in two different painted outcomes. [redacted] also indicated that his crew would remove our newly custom made and installed cabinet doors to be painted offsite. His crew did not understand the hinge system that our new cabinet doors had and they pulled too hard on many of the doors when removing them, causing the hinges to be pulled on such that the hinges became significantly loosened or broken. When the doors were reattached, many of them did not hang correctly. I brought this issue to the attention of [redacted], but he indicated that it was not the fault of his crew but rather that the hinges were faulty. We therefore contacted the carpenter from whom we bought the cabinet doors and asked him to fix the broken hinges and reattach the doors. Our carpenter indicated that the hinges were not at fault and showed us the interior damage caused by the pulling. We tried to contact [redacted] to let him know that the carpenter noted significant damage to the hinges/interior cabinet wood, but he did not return our calls or our emails. We also informed [redacted] that some of the cabinet doors were not painted well and the original wood colored finish was showing. Again, he did not return our calls. I wrote a letter to the owner of 89 Paint, [redacted] in approximately April 2014 describing our experience and the difficulties that we encountered. We have waited patiently for several months, but [redacted] has not responded to our letter. All this said, we are contacted the Revdex.com to help us navigate this situation.Desired Settlement: We would like 89 Paint to either refund our money so that we can have our kitchen cabinets painted correctly or we would like them to repaint our kitchen cabinets using the spray painting method (and not the mixture of spray painting and hand painting).
