this is a place I will never return to ever because of the service being very very poor and the over chargingThere has been nothing but a headache with this company. I've fork out so much money getting my alarm system install and it has completely stop now. I had to go back and forward up there to get my radio fix or the speakers are no good they stop working. They take your car in and have it all day long or next day. I spoke with the owner [redacted] several times about the problems and he has done nothing about it at all. the wires from my headrest T.v.'s are hanging I am so unsatisfied with 901 sounds service because there over charging people and half way doing there job my [redacted] smart start doesnt work. my pioneer double doesnt work properly I spent 1299.99 for the [redacted] system plus tax and almost 800.00 for the double din Desired Settlementi want a refund for my alarm and radio system because it hasnt work since they installed it. I feel like i've been charge for something I never could use and I have pictures of there sloppy work and they way they installed the alarm is what's called it to stop workingBusiness Response May 27, 2014[redacted]Dispute Resolution SpecialistRevdex.com3693 Tyndale DriveMemphis, TN 38125Re: Complaint of [redacted]Case#: XXXXXXXXAutomobile: XXXX-XXXX [redacted]Dear [redacted]:This will serve as my response to the complaint of Mr. [redacted].Mr. [redacted] is a long time customer of our business and in all due respect to him, he has a pattern of being abusive and careless with the various accessories we have sold him. This fact alone serves to discredit the complaint that has no merit. A review of his history with us is appropriate to understand the full scope of the person with whom we are dealing:In February 2012 the customer purchased 22" wheels and tires for his vehicle after being advised that the wheels were too large for the auto. This is important because in spite of his gaining the knowledge of the problems that this could cause such as damaging the transmission and problems with clearances of the tire from other parts of the vehicle he insisted on making the purchase. Five to six months later he called and complained about his vehicle vibrating. Our inspection revealed that the wheels were bent and tires were low on air. These facts point that the problem which he was experiencing was not due to any fault of ours but rather the fact that he was not following the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the size tire and pressure. In order to shift the financial responsibility of the tire issue this customer wanted the City to be responsible for his tire problems. He asked that I write an estimate that he could take to the City for it to pay for his problems. I did as he asked. In February 2012 we installed a complete new sound system that was fully loaded with an alarm and remote start systems as an upgrade to the vehicle. Two days following the installation he complained his rear headrest entertainment monitor was not working. The problem was that his seat was pushed all the way back due to his size so that when a passenger of his entered the vehicle he pulled out the video interface wires with his shoes and unplugged the video feed. Everything else we installed was functioning properly. In March 2012, at the customer's request, we built him a custom enclosure box for more bass to his sound system to be installed in his trunk. This is a service we offer and have installed many similar systems. It needs to be understood that such an installation requires modification to the electrical system. This entails us to fine tune the system which sometimes requires additional electrical power without which causes an additional drain on the entire electrical system to the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] was advised of the stress to his electrical components and acknowledged that we advised him that more electrical power was needed. He told us that he would come back at a later time to have the power enhanced as he expressed that he wanted this upgrade done in stages. Prior to him doing this however, he continued to utilize and abuse the system and was under powering the speakers which caused the subwoofers to smoke and lock-up. Malfunctions occur in different ways and this customer experienced all of these. Mr. [redacted] would come in every two or three months with blown speakers and we reinstalled speakers for him at no charge thinking that he would eventually pay for the recommended upgraded electrical power grids. I felt that I was giving him better than appropriate customer service in accommodating him. In hind sight I feel that Mr. [redacted] was taking advantage of me by coming in at least three or more times getting new speakers at no cost. When he asked to have the subject alarm system installed it was explained to him that due to the fact that he has added many other electrical accessories to the vehicle, he could expect problems. As has been explained above, this is indeed what has transpired. The failing of the electrical components is not in any way related to the work that we did. Rather it is due to his ignoring the advice that we gave him. He seeks a refund because he fails to recognize his responsibility in failing to listen to our advice. The drain on the electrical system caused other problems to his vehicle as well including problems with accessories that we had previously installed, such as the remote start system. Mr. [redacted] was experiencing problems starting his vehicle. As a further accommodation to him, I went to assist him in starting his vehicle, without charge. Mr. [redacted] complains about the sloppiness of the work that we performed. It is strange that Mr. [redacted] has waited for about eight or nine months to file the complaint and raise this issue. It was about eight or nine months ago Mr. [redacted] came in because of his problems and I assisted him in diagnosing an alternator issue that had nothing to do with the service we gave him. I spent about two hours with him on this issue and did not charge him anything. I have always attempted to deliver high quality service to him.Regrettably Mr. [redacted] is the type of customer that is most difficult to satisfy, if not impossible. He has consistently asked for more than what he originally wants. Mr. [redacted] failed to mention that when we have had to have his vehicle for extended periods, we've accommodated him by giving him a loaner vehicle without charge. In addition we gave him courtesy rides to destinations of his choosing at no charge. Mr. [redacted] came in without appointments to have problems diagnosed. Under these circumstances it was difficult to make any estimate about the times that we would be able to deliver the vehicle back to him. We never wanted to turn him away which is why we gave him courtesy rides or loaner vehicles. Mr. [redacted] is not being reasonable in complaining about delays in getting his vehicle back under these circumstances. Further, this is not an issue that he complained about previously. We have prided ourselves in serving customers as best we can at fair prices. Mr. [redacted] has not been overcharged for anything. His allegation is vague and without substance. What is he referring to in this regard? My experience is that our prices are competitive. At no time has Mr. [redacted] ever questioned our charges. This is a man that is not bashful about asking for anything; if he ever had a question about pricing why did he wait so long to raise it now? It is believed that this provides sufficient information for you to recognize the complaint is without merit and should be dismissed. Respectfully,Moe [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My Complaint wasn't about Rim's at all period and the owner[redacted] never once told me the Rim's where never to big for my car at all in fact when I damaged my rim by hitting a pot hole I only ask for his assistance to helping finding a repair shop which he was taking so long to find and when I found Wheel Tech on pleasant view I was told[redacted] came there with my rim and got a price for that rim and was upset because they would'nt lower the price for him to charge me a higher price so since the rim would cost more to repair I bought a brand new set of 22's from rent and roll. My issue is my alarm system that I was over charged for and it hasn't worked properly since the installed it. How can I be abusive to a alarm system I have wires hanging everywhere and then the install the express kit behind the emergency break which has cause the alarm to completely stop working due to it being behind the emergency brake it has cracked and this is the little black box that control's most of the alarm. I have receipts from all of the money i've spent with this company and the customer's I've also brought there isn't very satisfied with 901 sounds service. My cousin[redacted] bought not only one but two 12 inch speakers from them and they had him to apply for some credit that they offer there he gets the credit and a new 12 speaker that goes out within a couple of day's he was so upset I told him to not worry about I would just file a complaint with the Revdex.com about it.[redacted] is a very great lair and he is ripping people off I know alot of people who will never return there and will not because of the service. I am very upset that I was charged almost 1200.00 dollars for a alarm that has never worked since i've done business with him and he is blaming me for the abuse of the auto and I don't see how could I be the blame for the alarm system where the ones who installed it yes I would love to have a refund for my money thanks to him i've now spent 900.00 dollars for a whole new system and I haven't had a problem with them at all.

purchased bed cover not same as installed On 32/01/2016 went to 901 Sounds to purchase a bed liner for my 2014 F-150 Was shown 2 models cheaper model and more expensive model with 2 locks. Salesman stated best buy was model with two locks and since I had the short bed cost would be lower. Asked me price range I told him not over $700.00 He figured it up and told me he could get it for $797, taxes and instillation included. On 03/02/2016 they called and said the cover was in I went to 901 Sounds , they took my truck back for installation when they called me out it was not the same cover I was expecting , when I objected the salesman became arrogant and aggressive and said that was the cover I bought and walked away.Desired SettlementI want to return this cover and receive a full refund. I will find another place to purchase the cover. Business Response March 16, 2016Re: Case number XXXXXXXXTo whom this may concern,We apologize that Mr. [redacted] is not satisfied with this purchase.Unfortunately we can't be held liable for a decision Mr. [redacted] made . The sales receipt clearly shows the Part # and name of te brand he purchased , which he agreed on, it's not fair for the client to then change his mind after the fact.If that was the case the client should've reviewed his receipt and made sure that that was the truck bed cover he wanted. The customer shook our salesman's hand and was satisfied when he left, he also thanked us..We thrive daily to take care of our customers, from troubleshooting to installation even issues that are not related to our business. But when a client clearly changes his mind on the back end , and wants to upgrade after the fact, that does not work here unfortunately someone has to draw a redline and say no. Was given a quote on product, was contacted 3 hours later and told I was given the wrong quote it would now be double the price. Went to the shop to get fog lights installed and was quoted a price of $150 dollars for parts and instillation by [redacted]. He asked if all I had was the "dummy" covers I said yes then asked if I had day time running lights I said yes. Was told to they needed to go to warehouse to get parts and to return the next morning for installation I paid the $150 and was interested in looking to get radio installed also and was pretty much told not today we will deal with it tomorrow. So I arrive the next morning at 10:30 to drop off car and yet again got the impression that he just really did not want to help me after turning over my keys I was waiting to talk about radio and rims [redacted] looks at me confused and asked me "what you got a question" at this point I decided they would get no more of my money. Was told it would be 1-2 hours before car was ready had a friend follow me so I could drop off car and returned to work. I received a call from [redacted] at 1:15 and he said "we have bad news" I said ok what is it he then informs me that the price of 150 was no good because my car has nothing to hook the lights up to. I told him we talked about that the previous day before I was quoted a price when he asked me if all I had was the "dummy" covers. He said that he was wrong and it would now be 300 instead of the quoted 150. I told him to just refund my car and I would come get my car then he told me he would tint my windows for that price after the day before telling me that he wouldn't do it for that price. I asked about the price match ad on the web page and he informed me that I was making my price up and they only match prices from shops. So all but called me a liar. I got windows tinted and still no lights I'm supposed to have a lifetime warranty on my tint but guess what was never offered a receipt or invoice for the tint so now I have a receipt for fog lights that were replaced with tint? I was looking to buy tint, radio, speakers and rims but after being treated like they didn't need my business yes I will be taking it somewhere else. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE from salesman. Everyone else there was extremely nice. If you go do not deal with [redacted].This took place on July 10 2013.Desired SettlementWhatever seems appropriate to the owner. I believe it just come down to a bad salesman with lack of customer service skills. Open to ideas for settlement but I would like some sort of receipt for my tint so if something happens at least I have my warranty. Great customer service would have been to do the work paid for and install the lights and take the loss but I guess that kind of service is to much to ask for these days.

Purchased a brand new wheel on 4/10/2014 took wheel to 901 Sounds on 7/19/2014 because finish was peeling off. Notified 8/24/2014 by text message that 901 Sounds and the company that they ordered the wheel from would not cover wheel with no explanation as to why they would not honor the warranty provided by manufacturer. 901 Sounds only requested me to send pictures of defective wheel. 901 Sounds did not even ask questions about defective wheel.Desired SettlementReplace defective wheel with new replacement.Business Response Re: Case # 40098979 : [redacted] The distributor we work with declined the claim several times with out a explanation. that wasn't satisfying. we feel with Mr.[redacted]...[redacted] Owner of ( 901 Sounds ) reached out to high ups in management with the manufacture to get this issue resolved. after doing so the manufacture agreed to exchange the wheel for us. the Wheel came in on Aug 29, 2014 and Mr[redacted] was satisfied. We are terribly apologetic for any inconvenience or hassle the the Distributors & Manufactures may have caused.

June 2015 I purchased 22" Vossen RIMS for my S550 and 19" RIMS for my CLK 430 - On my S550 the rear right RIM hits the fender if I hit a big bump - No problem. On my CLK I test drove it prior to taking custody back after the RIMS were put on and there appeared to be no problem - One month later, I hear a loud noise on my rear right wheel. I take it to a Mercedes dealer, two European vehicle repair shops and Midas. They all stated that I needed spacers and the rear rims are rubbing on the inside and they couldn't assist me because they don't deal with spacers at all. I contacted 901 sounds owner/manger (Moe) via TEXT because he is always sooooo extremely busy to answer the phone, especially knowing I moved out of town and he kindly tells me via text text : " that the wheels are recommended for the vehicle and he doesn't understand exactly what the issue is because we took it out for a test drive" - My issue with Moe and 901 sounds is that when the vehicle is lifted a monkey can see that the tires are extremely close enough to rub on the inside. Moe knew that I needed a different spacer size and in due time I would have issue with the ones installed. Please keep in mind that I bought expensive rims and tires from this establishment and they didn't care. Moe is a good man, but, if you buy from 901 sounds, you must ensure you are good before leaving, because these guys will cut corners and leave you hanging. I went to a place here in Richmond called [redacted] and they did a exceptional job of cleaning up 901 sounds mess and now my vehicle is rolling smooth.","neg-1

This company has given me the complete runaround with fixing halo lights that I paid 800.00 for and will not accommodate me to fix them properly.I purchased pink halo lights last year around May. They cost me around 800.00 with the 90 days same as cash program. The first complaint is that they were mismatch in color. Headlights were purple looking, fog lights were pink. The product I looked at on [redacted] website were pink. The company, 901 sounds, told me this would only take about 2-3 days. It took them 3 weeks to finish my car. I had no vehicle for 3 weeks. When I got my car back, I had to return it twice because the halos weren't performing properly. The technician, [redacted] seemed to think it was the switch. He had to replace the switch. The manager, [redacted], got a little uptight with me when I came to him with the concern. After a year and some odd months, the halo lights started to flash on and off, so I took the car back to the salesman, [redacted] around the end of April 2015 or beginning of May 2015. They told me that the lights had to be taken off and replaced and that they would order them. This was on a Friday. They told me that the lights would be in by Monday or Tuesday the following week and they would call me. No one called me. Around mid-May, I took it amongst myself to call them to see what was wrong. They told me the lights were in and that they would let me know when I could bring my car in to be serviced. They never called me. I called them beginning of June and the salesman, [redacted] told me that he would get with [redacted] to see when he would be available to do it. I heard nothing back from anybody until June 23. On that day, [redacted] called and told me to bring my car in on Tuesday, June 30. On today, June 30, I called to see how am I supposed to get around without my transportation for another week and all he could tell me was that he didn't know. I have to work between 8:30 and 5:00 monday through friday and every other month, I work on Saturdays from 9 to 2pm. July is the month I work Saturdays. I was on vacation, May 22 to June 3, they could have worked around that time but they decided not to. I am very upset with them and something needs to be done about their lack of customer service. I paid too much money to get treated as such.Desired SettlementThe company can either fix my lights or refund me all of the money I spent on these lights.

Issue with tint install and correction to tint install. We are repeat customers of 901 Sounds and have been loyal customers for many years however after this last experience we will not be returning. Let me start by saying, the customer service is always superb and they will do any everything possible to correct the errors HOWEVER after three visits and several damage items to my BRAND NEW, under 100 miles, 2014[redacted], I've decided enough was enough. We visited 901 Sounds to install a subwoofer and amp and have windows tinted. We were pleased with the speaker and amp installation although we noticed the next day the amp wasn't installed in the location we requested. We weren't informed of this change but were pleased with the sound. The tint was another issue. After waiting the 5 days, as recommended, I noticed bubbles and streaks in the windows. I returned and they had no issue with redoing the tint. Once done, I discovered (NOT INFORMED), the technician cut some rubber on one of the windows. I was also told the streaks must be a defect in the window. AGAIN, due to past experiences; I left feeling the issues had been resolved. Several days later, I noticed scratches on my ALL FOUR of my front windows. The scratches appear to be from the technician having issues removing the tint. As evident by the razor I found in the back seat. The scratches are not really noticeable to the naked eye on all the windows unless you know they're there so AGAIN, I figured, not a big deal. FIVE days later, I rolled down a window, and tint came off. I immediately left work. I waited until arriving to try the other windows and discovered the back window tint wasn't installed properly. Mo informed me that the technician didn't know the back window rolled down because other sequoias don't. I informed him that this is not the case because I had the original and the windows roll down on all models. Nothing much said about the scratched windows although the technician informed me he did see the scratches on the re-reinstall or the fact that my rubber had been cut but because I just wanted it over with at this point, frustration and the fact I had to get back to work, no big deal. A 1 ½ hour turned into 2 ½ hours, WHY?, because the back re-tint wasn't installed properly, according to management.Several days later, I noticed what appears to be heat element burns on one of the door speakers, flawed tint installation, substance on door panels that I'm having a hard time removing and more cut rubber. The problem I have now is the expense is going to take to fix the damage to my "STILL NEW" truck. I hope the company can make this right by acknowledging the damages and assisting in getting them corrected, expeditiously. I understand there is a lifetime warranty on tint installation however I fear further damage to my vehicle.Desired SettlementI'm requesting a refund for tint and assistance in having a auto repair shop fix damage to door speaker and windows.
