Or pay a fee for a technician to come out. The technician has the work order and will be contacting the customer with a date and time to perform the repair.Consumer Response Has been two weeks and every phone call comes from me no contact from the business. I have agreed to the charge to come out. No date has been set and I have no record of a work order.Final Business Response THe work order has been submitted to the technician. He will contact you once in your area. If you would like to get this unit fixed quicker, you can bring it back to the shop. Thanks

They sold me a broken washer after I asked 14 times if it was in good working condition. Will not repair it even though it's under warranty.I bought my new washer and drier set on Thursday, June 11 from this place. I asked time and time again if it was in good working condition and they kept saying "It's under warranty". We signed the generic warranty statement and they delivered it the next day. Not only did they bust the walls in my new apartment, they dropped them both and left without a coherent word. After one wash I noticed that the washer was sitting in a puddle of water underneath the machine. I called and they said they would be out to fix it the next day between 4PM and 9PM. The guy showed up at 9:15 at night, busted up some more walls, and left without fixing it. He tried to tell us something but we did not understand a word he said and he rushed out. I called the next afternoon thinking he wanted me to call and none of the people at the store had any idea what I was talking about or who I was. I told them it hadn't even been a week since I bought this and they became instantly irate and began to yell at me on the phone. Finally they told me the man would come back another night to fix it. He still hasn't shown up and I have tried calling but they do not answer the phone.Desired SettlementI want them to fix it and leave us alone.Business Response Contact Name and Title:[redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]This custyomer is scheduled to be taken care of today WED/ 6/24. Thank YouConsumer Response They took the washer and repaired it. I have not tested it yet but it seems to be in good condition. Thank you. Final Consumer Response

Service issues with repairing washer that has had the same problem 4 times without business replacing itemWe purchased a used washer/dryer set from merchant on 1/27/15. We were told the appliances were under a 1 year warranty. Since then we have had 4 washer repairs and 1 dryer repair. We were told on last evening when we made a repair call we now have to pay a 50.00 service call fee. The prior 3 times a technician came, we never had to pay a fee nor were we instructed we were required to do so. I asked the technician why they just do not replace the washer since this is the 4th time we have had to call for the same repair and he stated without notes from the prior repair he could not make that determination. We were supposed to have been given notes on what the prior technician did the 3 previous times, which we were not, and he could not tell based on just me telling him what was wrong. When calling the business they do service tickets which indicate what problems we would have with the appliances. After my husband was hung up on and a very rude gentleman came to my house on last evening to tell me that I needed to give him the 50.00 or he would leave because "he had another service call he had to get to". We have in turn had to go through our home warranty to get this washer repaired for the 4th time again for the same issue. After the cycle finishes, you have to HAND WRING OUT YOUR CLOTHES. We have tried to be more than accommodating when waiting for repairs which normally are in access of a week. We have gotten hung up on and now a new technician comes into our home to tell us information we have never heard before. The receipt does state what the last technician indicated minus the 50.00 service call fee which he speaks of. There is no indication of a 50.00 fee on the receipt. They are not willing to stand behind their appliances and it is more than irrational to ask that we continue to pay time and time again for a washer that continues to have the same problem and in about 2 months will be told it is no longer there problem. Even though we purchased a used set we were assured by the salesman that they have all been tested and they would stand behind their warranty for a year. Also, we should mention a technician is NEVER available at reasonable times to come to fix the washer. Each and every time the technicians reach our homes after 8 pm which again is unacceptable but we felt we had no choice because we need our washer repaired. Again, we have had to file this 4th claim through our home warranty because no one has made communication to repair or make the situation right and we just want to be assured that it will be either repaired correctly or replace altogether.Desired SettlementWe would like the washer to be replaced since this is the 4th time we have had to call for a repair for the same issue which is unacceptable by all standards. Business Response As indicated by the customer the purchase was in January. The warranty clearly states that labor and material is covered for 90 days, after which, the warranty covers parts only after 90 days. The manager waived the service fee on prior service calls, but chose not to do so on the last call because of repeated overload, which the customer was asked several times to adjust. We are welling to fix the problem in accordance with the written warranty statement which the customer has a copy of. We require a service call payment of $50 to fix or replace the unit. If the customer refuse to pay the service call, the warranty will be voided .Consumer Response We were NEVER advised that we were overloading the washer and was NEVER told that the service fee was being waived. We never even spoke with a manager! When you call whomever answers the phone takes your information and a repair technician calls back to schedule the repair. We paid a $75.00 service call fee with our home warranty [redacted] and we were told not only were subpar parts used on the previous 3 repairs a belt on the bottom of the washer had not been attached and was hanging off. He stated the part that was being used was the cause of the washer having issues on 3 separate occasions. This company is just being dishonest plain and simple. If this were the case, we would have to continue to pay $50 each time for them to replace parts, which according to them are under warranty, but pay for labor for them to keep coming to put on non Kenmore manufactured parts. Again, we were never told this happened because we overload the washer because we never do. I guess the dryer stopped working as well because we overload the dryer as well. They are selling substandard appliances and expect their customers to continue to pay service call fees for parts that are not specifically made for the equipment they service. This is dishonest and poor business practices. Again also, I would LOVE to know the name of the manager since we spoke with them and they "waived the service fee on prior calls." If this were the case, why waive the fee 3 prior times and on the 4th time we have to pay if this is their "written warranty" as they stated. We are very pleased however with the job that our home warranty provider who explained in detail what the problem was and at no time indicated it was due to improper usage on our part because if that were the case as you know it would not have been covered. Final Business Response We are not being asked to respond to any issues. This new response from the customer is indicating that they had other party to perform the repair, and they are happy with the results. There will be no more comments from this office to this customer. Having had a third party to work on the unit, our warranty is therefore no longer valid and terminated as of 11/30/2015.

On the 19th of May, 2016 I went to the above named store at 5619 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh to purchase a refrigerator. On arrival, I was shown some used refrigerators; however, I became interested in one black Whirlpool double door fridge-freezer, which the store man, by name Mr. [redacted] showed to me, claiming it was new. I noticed that the bottom part of the refrigerator was not covered, and I noticed electrical wire hanging to the floor, so I questioned him about it. Mr [redacted] then told me that the bottom portion would be fixed before it was delivered to me. With that assurance I then proceeded to purchase the refrigerator for $699.00 full price and tax. I then paid $50.00 delivery fee as he told me. Delivery of the appliance was then fixed for Saturday, 5/21/16 but he never showed up.The refrigerator was eventually delivered on 5/23/16 without the bottom part fixed as he promised. When I inquired about the still open bottom part, and why he did not fix it before delivery as he promised, he then told me that when he would go to buy appliances in 2 days time (being Wednesday, 5/25/16) he would get that bottom part and fix for me. I then called on 5/26/16, being Thursday about fixing the bottom part, and he told me that he got it and would come and fix it. He never came, and most times when I called, he would tell me I was bothering him, that he had no time, until he came to Durham area to take care of his business, then he could fix the fridge. When he failed to show up after many days, I then called back and he told me to stop calling him or I should come to the store to collect the missing piece to fix myself. It was then I texted him that since he could not keep to his promise that he should come and get his fridge because having exposed electrical cords constituted a safety problem. I also reminded him that he gave me 90 days warranty, and since I was still within the warranty period, he should fix the fridge or refund my money in full. Mr. [redacted] then came to my house on 6/13/16 with an old, dirty, broken bottom part of the fridge to fix. He made so much effort to fix it but it was crooked, and ill-fitted. He then said it was fixed and wanted to quickly leave my house. I then called his attention to observe me open the fridge, which he did and the piece fell to the floor. He made frantic effort again to fix but could not. I then told him to carry away his appliance and refund my money but he told me he would buy the needed piece based on the model number of the fridge to fix it. I reiterated the fact that he was unable to keep to his promises and that I could not trust him, hence to take his appliance and refund my money. He left my house with the broken bottom piece and then texted me a few minutes later that he would not look for the missing part of the fridge as he said, rather I should fix the fridge myself. Also, that he would not refund my money and I should stop texting him.Desired SettlementI now plead with Revdex.com to please use your good offices to come into this matter and help me retrieve my money. I have little grand children who could wander around and grab the electric cord and get electrocuted. This is a serious safety issue and I refuse to compromise my safety and that of my family. I want this matter to be resolved by 99 cents, Appliance center to come and retrieve their broken down refrigerator and my money to be refunded in full. I have the receipt that reflect the full amount I paid for the appliance, and the amount paid as delivery fee. Additionally, the 90 warranty is clearly written on it. Thank you for helping me in this matter. [redacted]Business Response The fridge was an open box, but new never used unit. We explained to her that the bottom piece is missing, we will try to find it for her at the warehouse. Delivery happened before the warehouse trip. Once made it to the warehouse, the manager there gave us a bottom piece. We went to her house to install it as promised, only to find out that we have the wrong piece. At this time I told her that I will order the correct piece for her using the model number, but she refused. When we sold the fridge, we sold it without the bottom piece, she has to understand that she purchased an open box unit at a fraction of the new cost. Open box unit may not have all the attachments. We told her that we will help her get the bottom piece, but she is refusing. We have nothing else that we can do for this customer. We delivered what we promised, and we stood behind the bottom piece as we promised also. Consumer Response Thanks for your correspondence and keeping me abreast with your plan about my complaint. As I earlier stated in my complaint, I would want this issue to be resolved by 99 cents Appliance center refunding me my full payment for the broken refrigerator purchased and for them to come and pick up their refrigerator from my house. I am not using that appliance, and I see no reason it should be in my house. For that company failing to secure the safety of that appliance by providing the bottom part of it as they promised me, shows they have no business integrity and are unreliable and not trust worthy. Besides, the 90 days warranty is still in effect, so I do not want to use an unsafe appliance. It is better to be safe than to be sorry.Thanks.Respectfully,[redacted]
