Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:#- I had to go to my home warranty insurance company who sent out a different repair company whose determined that my refrigerator was in fact unrepairable They used diagnostic tools to check the computer and systems, tools that the Aaccomplished did not own or refused to use In either case, they diagnosed this and presented the information to my warranty company who is replacing our refrigerator with a new one.#- Before I let the repairman move the refrigerator I asked him to protect the wood floor All he said was “I checked and your refrigerator is on rollers, it will be okay”. #- the refrigerator is in a recess in the kitchen that is 36” deep He says he moved the unit out 18” He makes this statement emphatically so it is either a lie, or complete loss of memory You have to pull the refrigerator out the full 36” plus more to get behind the unit to repair.#- He did leave the refrigerator out because he said he would return the next day He also left off the back cover grill and later that day called to ask me to put it back on because it is needed for the unit to function properly I did put it on but it would not go on all the way because he had put a fitting on to add Freon that was now preventing the grill from going on all the way. in addition, if I did not put the unit back into the recess it would still today be in the middle of my kitchen He refused to ever return.#- he moved the unit back and forth multiple times on my floor creating many grooves The distances he says he moved the unit because they are not factual.#- I too have the record of interactions that support what happened and they line up with what I contend They damaged my floor and are responsible The new repairman, by the way, brought in a plastic pad that I have seen used before when having refrigerator service on a refrigerator at a previous residence It is used by repairmen to protect the floor He either doesn’t own one, know what it is, or refused to use one If their combined “years” of experience doesn’t know how to protect a wood floor, then what is that experience worth?
Sincerely,
Robert Stankey

A1 Accomplished Appliance Repair Reply to consumer complaint 519607   This is a 3rd generation family business. With over 100 years combined experience working on domestic refrigeration. We move Refrigerators every day to access the main working components. Never have we had a complaint about...

ever ruining a floor. His insurance company dispatched his work order to us and we accepted it September 8th. When I arrived the fridge appeared to be functioning exactly how it should. His complaint was unusual he said occasionally the temperatures wouldn't be cold enough and they had thrown food away a couple times because of it. I told him I needed to access the back of the unit to troubleshoot it. I told him the fridge is on wheels and would roll out quite easily. He gave me permission and even helped me to roll it out about a foot and a half so I could check the compressor and freon pressure. I made a couple slight changes and asked him if we could leave the fridge pulled out so he could hear the compressor because it was so quiet. He said that would be fine. I followed up with him via text for the next few weeks. He never once mentioned anything about his floor being “ruined”. I was also waiting on the outcome of some minor adjustments I made that would let me know if there was a problem and what exactly was failing if anything. I did say I would return to fix any issue that surfaced. I can't get authorisation from his insurance company to fix anything until I know exactly what is wrong and if that was covered as each plan is unique. So 8 weeks go by and he text me telling me his freezer is at 7 and GE says it should be 0. And I explained to him that the display temp is taking air temperature which changes every time a door is open all that cold air falls out and 70 degree air goes in. Also every 8 hours a set of heaters come on and the unit defrost. So the air temp changes constantly and that his freezer couldn't even get down to 7 if there was any issues at all. After 2 months if there was any system or component no functioning it would only get worse, so basically it came down to him deciding to get another company to come out because we found no issue.   With all that said. He never mentioned a single thing about his floor until 2 months later when we told him that as far as our professional opinion goes there wasn't anything to fix. Also we only rolled it out and left it rolled out meaning someone else pushed it back in. Also it states in this letter he had another company come out and who knows what they did. I have all the text saved stating he cleaned the unit and stating that the fridge was left rolled out which he gave me permission to do and he helped me roll it out. So this letter is my first time hearing anything about a damaged floor. Someone installed the fridge, he moved it to clean it, someone rolled it back in not us. I havent seen the damage. All I did was roll it out about a foot and a half and it rolled out very easily with his help and permission. Any time a customer is concerned about there floor I don't move the fridge. I tell them to call me when its out.
