I used this company on [redacted] for moving furniture to my new home. I orginally called on the day at 10am and was told a truck with 3 movers would arrive in the next 45 mins and the charge for 2 hours work would $130. I was also told if the time went above this then there would be an additional hourly charge. I agreed to these conditions. I later called at 11.15am and 11.30am since nobody had arriived. I was told by [redacted] on both occassions the movers would arrive soon and that they were on their way. They finally arrived at 11.45am and I noted the time. The name of the company on their truck was 3-man-movers.When the movers were to start their work I was asked to sign a contract and I was told the time of 2 hrs had started since they had arrived. I signed the contract assuming all details on it were correct.Since the clock was ticking I did not have time to read the small print. All the furniture was on the ground floor and no climbing stairs was needed. My brother and I helped the 3 movers to put the furniture into the truck.When we arrived at the destination at 12.30pm, I was told I needed to pay $260 since we had passed 1 hr and so extra charges had been applied. I questioned the mover about the start time and he said the time he had noted was 11.15am. I said this was incorrect and the correct start time was 11.45am. He then told me to speak to the dispatcher to resolve the issue. The dispatcher called [redacted] was very rude and aggressive. He told me to pay the movers or the furniture would not be unloaded from the truck. He told me to speak to the manager of the company the next day and that he said he did not want to speak to me anymore. He then ended the phone call. I was then forced to pay $260. The movers left at 1.05pm and their total time on the job was 1 hr 20 mins. They also did not allow me to walk inside the truck to check no items were left since once they had their money they wanted to leave urgently.I believe the incorrect arrival time entered on the form by the mover was a trick by the company to make more money and it was deliberate. I have exchanged many emails with the company but they have refused to provide me with a refund of the extra $130 paid also no apology has been given. Nobody answers their complaints number and they refuse to provide a name in email replies.They have made two offers of $30 and $65 as refunds and I have rejected these.
