Review: In February 2011 [redacted], d/b/a A-1 American Roofing & Chimney, performed work (rubberizing) on the gutter of my roof, at a cost of $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars). The work was covered by a 10-year Warranty. Very recently the gutter has began to leak again and as the ice melts the water is getting inside my rooms.

I have placed 4 tel. Calls to [redacted] -business phone ###-###-####- but he never returned any of these calls. Subsequent to that, I called him at his Cell Phone -###-###-####, and he did take that call; I explained what the troubled was and he promised to come to look at the gutter on Thursday Feb. **, 2015 between the hours of 11AM and 2PM. [redacted] did not come, and neither did he call me with an explanation for not coming. Subsequent to this, on Feb. **, 2015 I called him at his Cell phone; he did not take my call so I left message for him to please call me back, that ignoring my calls would not resolve the problem... To this date I have not heard from him. It is more than obvious that [redacted] has no intention of honoring his warranty commitment. In the meantime, I continue to pick up the water coming in through the brick wall in the rear of my home. I need to resolve this, either he does the repair work needed immediately, or if he forces me to hire someone else he should reimburse me for the cost.Desired Settlement: To re-do, as promptly as possible, the rubberizing of the gutters at no further cost to me.

I am in dispute with a roofing contractor for failing to deliver. I had used his services in 2009. I recently contacted him to remove a skylight and to install a larger one. On 3/**/13, he advised he would submit a request to the McDonald Avenue Metal & Roofing Supply Company. He also advised if I allowed him to directly place the order, we would be able to take advantage of his contractor discount. He also said he would be away for 2 weeks on a planned vacation and would be available on 5/*/13 for confirmation and install the skylight on 5/*/13. I tried contacting him for 3 days (phone, email, text) with no response. On 5/*/13, he called and advised he had a family emergency and would install the skylight on 5/*/.13. I asked him to call the next day to confirm. He did not and I tried contacting him multiple times (phone, email, text) each day. On 5/**/13, he came to my house due to the temporary cover he placed on the roof which was leaking from his half-finished job. He advised he would be back on 5/**/13 to complete the job. I advised him I would pick up the skylight to help expedite the installation. He advised McDonald Metal & Roofing is where I needed to go to pick it up. I tried contacting him (phone, email, text) on 5/** & 5/** to confirm. He never called or showed up. On 5/** I received an email from him advising he spoke with the supplier and they were still delayed in getting the skylight and he had an "additional" emergency and wanted us to communicate using email. That day, I went to McDonald Metal & Roofing. I asked if I could pick up the skylight. They advised that [redacted], from A1 American Construction, was in there about 6 weeks ago asking many questions about the skylight, but he never placed the order. I have a hole in my roof and need a skylight. On 5/**/13, I placed an order for the same skylight I was promised. Much to my surprise, the retail price was 50% less than what I was being charged (so much for contractor discount). I called A1 American Construction and left a voicemail. I advised I needed a refund of $1,550 and ended the service. Additionally, the contract stated delivery of the product as well as installation was required no later than 60 days after the contract was signed. (3/**/13). The license # on the contract was [redacted]. All his details are as follows: His business name was listed as A1 American Construction, Business phone ####-###-#### and the cell numbers are : ###-###-####, ###-###-####, and google phone ###-###-####. Last # I received a call from him was ###-###-####. (He claimed he kept losing his phone). Oh, and his business address was actually a Fed-EX Mailbox Store.
