Apparently this customer does not understand that if the part we replace is making the noise it is under year warranty there is a deductible and if is another thing making noise this will be treated like a new call....I try to explain, this customer did not want to hear it...now she uses the
the Revdex.com to get away from paying and get a FREE REPAIRJust because this customer is a Doctor does not mean she can talk down to me or any one else

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As you can see by his response, the owner lacks the knowledge to provide the appropriate services his business offers as well as how to work with the public He should not be allowed to take people's money for services he does not perform, or makes ridiculous reasons as to why he can't, yet still keeps your money If you paid $for service, you expect service, not this! And yet he wanted over $more to try to fix a refrigerator, (first quoted as $200), he already admitted that he couldn't fix in the first place, all the while, my Tenant went without a fridge So he calls me a cheapskate? I spent over $for the new fridge, not years ago, paid him $to fix it and ended up having to buy another new fridge for another $and HE STILL NEVER FIXED IT, yet calls me the cheapskate?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. So it was the business owner that mocked and taunted me.  Good to know.[redacted] did NOT give me a number for A1.  He stated he would call his 'guy'.  I was then called by who I believed, as anyone would, was an employee of [redacted].  I have never cancelled a check to get out of paying anything in my life and take issue with that accusation.  Just another attempt to harass me...this guy is unbelievable.Parts needed to do the repair properly WERE under warranty, per [redacted].  And had his buddy, [redacted], told me he was not capable of doing the repair, I WOULD have done my 'due diligence' and contacted an authorized dealer.  The advertisement was for a 30 year Revdex.com accredited local business.  Do we really need to rehash the details yet again?  The supposed cause was that the interior of the vent was not cleaned.  The repairman did not even clean it!  And we were told it was a Sub Zero part. We were also told that a couple of other parts may be going out soon, at $600 a crack.  So you tell me if replacing just the fan motor was in my best interest, if not even letting me know that there was a possibility of it still being under warranty and replacing the entire condenser was my best bet. They were deceitful, duplicitous, condescending and underhanded.  Their 'used' fan...3 days or so?...is residing in my laundry room. They are more than welcome to it, and I will pay the $75 trip charge. Otherwise, the balance is due and owing. Fabulous business practices between [redacted] and A-1.  [redacted] does not even have a store front, just a P.O. Box under the guise of a Ray Road location.  [redacted] never told me he could not repair the refrigerator, he said he would have his guy call me.  I am a business owner and I would never under any circumstances do the bait and switch that was done, and then not even finish the job properly.  If this company is so upstanding, why in heavens name would they have told me I 'should have done my due diligence'??? Is that not admitting that I was overcharged and under serviced????I don't know how these people sleep at night.Regards,
[redacted]

[redacted] aplliance repair was contacted on warranties for a subzero model 690 /s and for this unit they're  two year warranty was not covering this unit, meaning that the warranties are no longer valid this customer was informed of such warranties she was never told that the part replaced was a sub-zero Part. information she was told is that because there is no authorized parts dealers in state of Arizona this is what we had at the moment the fan was replaced the condenser still worked it was overheating cause a fan was failing and we did clean up to keep that area clean because of the amount of dust and dirt there was also causing friction in heat making the unit malfunction all the information that [redacted] gave her and still charge for a price of another part that's almost the same as what we did and and falsely accused us of not doing our work correctly, this customer has constantly called us, we explain this to her but she seems not to understand. [redacted] invoice does not say that the condenser fan motor was under warranty with the manufacture, the evaporator was and that's what they change it under subzero warranty. they need to stop harassing our business and using the Revdex.com to harass our business.

Our trip charge was given when the appointment was done...[redacted] give them an estimate and did not want it...now they whant to low ball the estimate...yes thats being a cheepskate....this poeple have nothing to do but use the Revdex.com just to get money back...

Realy..some customers should stop being so cheap...they think they are at swapmeet shoping and they use the Revdex.com to see if they get a refund or they money back...there shoul be a way to complain...us service business about cheap customers...all they want is their way....no I will never refund nothing...

and be awere of this cheap people and they should stop using the Revdex.com to degrade a ligit busness..

I [redacted], owner of A-1 Appliance Repair have been doing appliance repair since 1987 by keeping my business honest and fair on all repairs done.  Miss [redacted] called us to schedule the appointment, I answered the phone, I never stated we were subzero factory repair but do...

service out of warranty on all brands of refrigerators. [redacted] was dispatch to the call, he has been doing appliance repair since he was 17 (2007) years old. According to [redacted]'s diagnosis he noticed excessive heat coming from the middle and top of the refrigerator, the two compressors were extremely hot because the condenser fan motor was not functioning accordingly. [redacted] saw that the only thing malfunctioning was the condenser fan motor so he gave Mrs. [redacted] the estimate of 685.00 that includes part, labor and tax. [redacted] under no circumstance represented himself as an authorized service tech for subzero. We repair all different types of makes of refrigerators that are no longer under manufacture warranty. We have a diagnosis/trip fee of 75.00 in which the diagnostics was given to her before any repair was done. At this point she could have said no if she had any types of suspicions or doubts about the repair and could have called another company at that time. [redacted] never forced Mrs. [redacted] to proceed with the repair and voluntarily signed the invoice stating that the repair was done properly and without force, Mrs. [redacted] could have denied our estimate. The check was deposited that day into the account but never cashed like Mrs. [redacted] is stating. The next day I received a call from Mrs. [redacted] stating that she got overcharged and that the part replaced was under manufacture warranty with subzero and demanded a refund, i stated why she could not receive a refund and that is because the part is now used. I called [redacted] (spoke to [redacted]) and asked how long the condenser fan motor is covered under original manufacture warranty and [redacted] said only 2 years. Mrs [redacted] refrigerator is well over 2 years old and the part replaced was not under warranty as she states. if she is concerned about manufacture warranty then she should have called [redacted] to come over in the first place. We only work on non-warranty appliances and it is not our responsibility to find out whether or not it is under warranty. [redacted] and A1 appliance are two different companies that sometimes refer work to each other. Mrs. [redacted] originally called [redacted] and the owner [redacted] gave Mrs. [redacted] the number for A1 appliance because [redacted] could not attend to her refrigerator as quickly as she wanted that day, she was imperative that her refrigerator had to be repaired that day. A1 appliance [redacted] has absolutely nothing to do with this repair.  For this matter I will not indulge any refund to a client that had ample time to due diligence on this repair also it’s been my experience that clients tend to pay with a check so that they can cancel it and get a free repair.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

1.) [redacted], the owner of A-1 Appliance Repair, did not discuss a price to come out to look at my refrigerator. I would have gladly paid the $65. My refrigerator was making a great deal of noise and I wanted him to explain why. (Back in November, his repairman told me that this refrigerator should make so much noise because of the new factory part.) In our recent phone call, I reminded him of his 1 year warranty on parts and labor which he ignored. He was very rude and condescending to me from the beginning of the conversation. He then hung up on me. I called another phone number associated with the business. He answered this phone number and hung up again.

2.) I called [redacted] Appliance Service. They came out and told me that A-1 Appliance Repair had put in the wrong part. I now have a picture of the 2 condenser fans sitting side by side. They are not the same part. A-1 Appliance Repair also put in too much freon which caused my refrigerator to no longer make ice. Because his repairman forced the wrong part into the refrigerator, [redacted] had to send the refrigerator to the repair shop to fix. Now, my refrigerator makes no noise and makes ice.

Therefore, I think I should be refunded the $385 that he charged me to repair my refrigerator. Originally, I was willing to work with Mr. [redacted]. However, he was not willing to honor his 1 year warranty on parts and labor. To repair my refrigerator correctly, I paid $515. I am not asking for him to pay the $515, only the $385 that I paid him to fix a refrigerator which now I realize he did not properly repair and damaged it in the process.

Sincerely,

we are refunding 200.00 to the customer sorry for the inconvenience.check will be sent by 05/12/2014

I called for service on a refrigerator temperature reading too high. Service came out and replaced control board. I examined the old board and found no evidence of a problem. I work in the electronics industry and look at control boards often. I also didn't notice any difference in the sound of the machine operating. We noticed large amounts of dirt built up on the coils and was told that cleaning this could help as well. "[redacted]" insisted that this would fix the problem and to give the unit time to cool. I paid him $385 for the service (control board available online for $222) despite my reluctance and thoroughly blew out the coils. I let the unit cool and checked it 24 hours later. The temperatures were still reading well above what they were set at. I called back and "[redacted]" returned with my wife present. He tested the inside of the unit finding that it was cooling to temperature. He told my wife that sensor array board must be bad. She did see the readings and the unit does seem to be cooling to temp now although the readings do not indicate this. I don't know for sure if the unit was cooling because of the cleaning of the coils or the board. I called again to lodge my concern and was told that we should obtain a thermometer and ditch the advanced features of the unit as the sensors are not functioning. I paid this man in good faith under the impression he would complete the repair. The unit is still reading more than 10 degrees over what it is set at and "[redacted]" accused me of wanting a free repair. I paid him immediately that day roughly a third of the value of the unit. I was told and expect for the original problem called in (temp reading too high) to be repaired for that amount of money. I mentioned that this was unsatisfactory and was hung up on. After more digging, this A-1 phone number ([redacted]) can be found under different addresses in multiple places on the web. I called back looking for customer service although "[redacted]" answered saying he is the owner.
