The customer originally brought this vehicle in to our shop on March 29th because she was having a number of issues just after she bought itWe looked the vehicle over and made her a list of items that would need to be addressed before the inspection could be doneShe was going to take it
to
the dealer she bought it from in Buffalo nNY and have them fix items that might be covered under warrantyInvoice#*** was written to help her attempt to get repairs paid for through the dealerA check
engine light was present for a Pcodeat that timeDue to various diagnostic sources pointing at a bad catalytic converter more tests were preformed on the
converter along with a visual inspectionThe visual inspection shows a very
bad weld job with holes close to the converterAt that time it was noted that
the temperature of the manifold was at degrees and at the end of the first converter was degreesThis is function of a converterThe second converter was measured at degreesThis indicates a plugged
converterThe customer then contacted the shop on September 7th around 2:in the afternoon and
wanted an estimate on replacing the converter for inspectionAn estimate was given to her and another one was sent to the Department of Social ServicesThe Department of Social Services approved the repairsThe appointment was set with the customerOn the appointment day the customer arrived and the work was doneA few day later the customer came into the shop and stated that the check engine light was on again but the vehicle was running better than it did before the repairs were doneAn appointment was made to determine the source of the check engine lightOn the day of the appointment the customers brother came into the shop and caused a sceneWe took
another look at the situation and determined that the exhaust manifold gasket has a gap and could also contribute to the code being presentThe front converter looks new and should not be changed until all other possible issues are taken care ofAn estimate was given for the repair to the manifold gasketNo refund or free work will be offered at this
timeIt would not be ethical to refund money to a customer when the Department
of Social Services paid the billIt is still our professional opinion that the front converter
does not need replaced

Revdex.com spoke to Herman at business and the following was relayed: I went and talked to [redacted]'s and the customer had a legitimate complaint. I have the customer's check ready to go out in tomorrow's mail and she should have it in a couple of days.
