A-1 Award Transmission

Review: 12/*/15: my car died while driving. The transmission went. It was towed to my trusted mechanic.

12/*/15: My mechanic sent it out to the transmission shop they work with, A-1 Award Transmissions.

12/**/15: I paid in cash, got a receipt w/18,000k mile/18 month warranty. They repaired the parts & left the car covered in grease. Door handles, steering wheel, shifter, hood, paint on door. The car is still driving badly and I drive it for a week to really test it.

12/**/15: Brought back to A-1, 2nd time. They test drove it and suggests a tune-up w/my mechanic.

12/**/15: Left my car w/my mechanic for a tune-up.

12/**/15: got the car back. Better, but still bad. Transmission slips on the highway.

1/*/16: Brought to A-1 again, 3rd time. I ask them to wear gloves and clean the grease off from the 1st time.

1/**/16: they start to work on it again (a week after it was left there) and pull the entire transmission. I ask for a rental car & am denied.

1/**/16: they still don't have it finished and agree to a rental car.

1/**/16: The car is done & I pick it up. The car is still greasy, has not been cleaned. I told them I expected the car to be cleaned. They said it was raining (it was sunny and they had the car for 13 days). Ralph from the shop & I start arguing and he says he's recording the conversation. Without my consent, that is illegal and inadmissible in court (and it tells me they've had problems like this before). Their radio commercial says, 'we get it done right the 1st time', not the 3rd time, not after 6 weeks. I said, 'do you know how frustrating this is?' and he said, 'do you know how frustrated WE are?' I have photos of the grease on my car. They are rude, dirty, condescending and unprofessional. The last receipt I have says they provided a rental as a courtesy (it was NOT a courtesy) and they replaced the parts for no charge (no charge is different than 'under warranty'). If I knew I would need to use their warranty twice in the 1st 6 weeks, I would have gone somewhere else.Desired Settlement: Not only do I want my car cleaned and the grease removed, which I can't believe I have to even ask for, after the nonsense with Ralph (I was defending myself and he threatened to 'have me removed') I want my car professionally detailed. I'm not asking for a refund or anything out of line. I just want my car clean.
