A 1 Builders Jacob Zakrzewski

A 1 Builders was contracted to replace a shingle roof for me. A deposit was given to start work. A final payment at completion was given in the wrong amount given by check which he immediately deposited. This amount was $1,000 above the contract requirement. Jacob Zakrzewski was contacted by voice mail minutes after leaving the job site and would not return my calls. When he finally responded, he said he made a mistake on the contract and that I really owed him this money. He never did call me directly and left me threatening text messages that if he gave my money back he would put a lien on my property to get back what is really his. I paid him a total of $3,250.00 and the contract was for $2,250.00. It appears that he may have questionable business practices and takes advantage of customers in hopes that they will give up on getting their money back. In this case, he is stealing money that is legally mine and has no intention of returning it. Work was completed 18 Oct. 2013 and it is now Feb. 1,2014. Anyone dealing with this contractor should be aware of his mode of operation and shady business conduct.
