We gave the customer an estimate for replacing entire wall and that exceeded their desired budget. We placed the top half of the wall with...

new block. We have done extra work, without extra charge, to minimize water penetration. The only guaranteed way to stop water penetration is with waterproofing. This is costly, typically more than $200 per linear foot. Replacing the wall cannot actually be a guarantee against no water penetration.
We are meeting with the customer to best remedy this Friday. I wanted to give the situation time as when the customer contacted us we were receiving record amounts of rain, and thus ground saturation. With time to dry out, would typical to heavy rains still bring water penetration.
These options have been discussed previously and with the customers strong desire to not pay for additional service, and A1 not wanting to provide free service, time to see how significant the problem is, was needed. To my current understanding, it is fairly minimal moisture penetration.
OFFER:

All employees involved with the work, contracted to be done, were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They treated my home as if it were their own. Reasonably priced, cleaned up after themselves, and exceeded expectations. Thanks guys, job well done!

n regards to [redacted] swimming pool, [redacted] & [redacted]:
[redacted] met with [redacted] for an initial consultation on 6/18/2014, leaving a written es[redacted]ate clearly stating if Al was hired to lift the pool sidewalks, that we would not be responsible...

for the pool Wall/coping etc... In any way. There was long discussion with [redacted], ul[redacted]ately stating that The [redacted]' needed to check with pool experts about the condition and viability of the wall. It was iterated that Al could make no
promises against the wall pushing in. A portion of the wall was already bowed in 2" past the coping
which was bowed in some as well.
[redacted] met with [redacted] for a follow up consultation on, further discussing lifting the sidewalks to remove 'teetering stress' on the wall structure. Again, throughout discussion, it was iterated Al could make no promises against the wall pushing In and that Al could not be held responsible if work were to be done,
I, [redacted], believe there was conversation with [redacted] by phone after the second consultation„ There was much discussion between the [redacted]' and [redacted]e has passed, and the customer has confused the answers to their many initial valid questions,
Al never agreed to fix the problem, Upon consulting the crew, the holes were drilled near the pool were for void fill as most of the lift was needed on the outer edge of the sidewalk and holes wore drilled there for lift. Holes drilled near the steps needed to be there for lift on the small pieces of settled concrete.
[redacted] stated that IF a remedy could be found through a specialty pool repair company Al would help supply labor, if feasible, and limit our charge to $1001100 for up to 2 days labor. This could be labor removing debris and prepping pool area for the repair company, lifting the sidewalks and/or filling voids If desired by a repair company, and/or anything else reasonable to make their pool useable and safe. f also stated that pool companies used to offer repair service but that no longer seems to be the case. I stated that Al was looking into the feasibility of offering this service as there seems to be a void in the market. Based upon our research, design structure flaws on many older pools do not make it cost prohibitive or realistic to perform this service.
Over the winter and after informing the [redacted]' we would, Al researched the possibilities. Part owner, Dave, met with the [redacted]' on 4110/15 to see if there was anything Al could suggest or do.
On 5/17/2015, an Al superviser and foreman of the job met with an engineer, an insurance representative and [redacted] at the [redacted]' property,
Al has had discussion and contact with the homeowners this spring and has turned this matter over to insurance. There has been an initial meeting with the homeowner and it is pending review.

We are very pleased. We had a job that we thought no one would touch. A1 was very knowledgable and provided us with a solution. A1 stayed and wrote a quote up within 20 minutes. The job was completed today and we are highly satisfied. Workers were courteous and tidy. Communication was top notch. My family would highly recommend A1 to anyone looking for basement/foundation solutions.
