A-1 drain Cleaning Reviews (2)
Sounds pretty cheap to me. How ever you have the wrong A1 I'm guessing. Wrong state. You should let people know what state and city you live in.
On 12/07/12,our main drain backed up. We called A-1 to fix the problem. They took a toilet off in the basement because the clean-out valve was too small for their cutting tool. They ran the tool until they hit roots, cut the roots and claimed that the problem was fixed. It took them 2 hours to do this job. I was charged $200.75. On 01/09/13, the drain backed up again. I called A-1 and expressed my concerns that didn't get all of the roots the first time. I told them I didn't think I should be charged again. They disagreed. They came back, and this time they just ran their coil down the small clean-out without any cutting head and claimed they cleared it again. I was charged $50 for a service call, but I was very upset to have to pay this considering they didn't do their job the first time. On 02/11/13, the drain backed up again. Since I was so dissatisfied with A-1's work, I called Hansen's Drain Cleaning. He came over, took 1 minute to cut a hole in the pipe, ran his cutting tool all the way to the problem area, cut more roots, and then made sure it was clear all the way to the sewer main. He then patched the hole with sheet metal and cleaned up his mess. This entire process only took 45 minutes. He charged us $90.
