I called VanderHyde the next day to voice my concernsAfter days, and several flimsy excuses later, Rachel said they were sticking to the $chargeA detail of the invoice shows that they charged times their material cost (based on retail parts cost at [redacted] ), the labor rate was $116/hour, plus they charged a $dispatch feeThe bottom line is that this company cannot be trusted to give a verbal quote that is even close to what will be charged, and their markup on materials is incredibleAny quote from this company needs to be in writing! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a plumber

Valerie was great to work did a great job in a short time

The customer service girls are friendly and have a sense of humor they also handle calls professionally, the service providers are quick to respond and are knowledgeable on service and products also the company provides options and ideas to solve the problems fast and efficient I highly recommend this company because they are people working to fix the problem fast efficient and still have a good attitude at the end of the project and day they have a great day at Vanderhyde plumbing

We contacted VanderHyde to replace the outdoor fixtures on the side of our business Valerie was the service person that was sent out She installed the prepurchased LED lights, but they did not have photo cell She problem solved and went to the hardware store and picked up photo cells, so she would not have to make a return visit She was pleasant and courteous I would recommend Valerie for any Electrical service

Professionalism all the way! Val N[redacted] was a joy to work with. She was professional knowledgeable and cared about My concerns. She took time to answer my questions and concerns and found alternative solutions to the problem. I will be calling VanderHyde Mechanical for all of my future issues.

Highly recommendable. Scheduled service at a time that worked for me. Service technician called in advance to let me know he was on his way. Arrived on time, and stayed till the problem was solved and repaid in a timely manner. VERY PLEASE ALL AROUND!

This seemed reasonable since I had gotten prices in that range from other area plumbers. I picked VanderHyde based on that quote, and that they market themselves in a Christian business directory that we hand out at our church. On June 1, Anthony, showed up with a helper to do the work. When completed, he handed me a bill for $635! I called VanderHyde the next day to voice my concerns. After 10 days, and several flimsy excuses later, Rachel said they were sticking to the $635 charge. A detail of the invoice shows that they charged 2.3 times their material cost (based on retail parts cost at [redacted]), the labor rate was $116/hour, plus they charged a $49 dispatch fee. The bottom line is that this company cannot be trusted to give a verbal quote that is even close to what will be charged, and their markup on materials is incredible. Any quote from this company needs to be in writing! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a plumber.

I purchased a new furnace on 4/11/15, it stopped working on December, there was no charge for repairs, it was a simple fix. Last week late March 2016 it stopped working again. I called the office, I was told I had a warranty on parts & labor. However when the tech came he told me labor was not covered under the warranty? He said the girl on the phone that answered was "New". I was charged $194 for labor.

I have spoken to billing regarding this complaint.  It appears that this was billed in error, and will be adjusted accordingly.

I've used VanderHyde for years. However, this month I had issues with my boiler not regulating zones correctly. I called VanderHyde and they sent someone right out. The repairman worked for a while, said he fixed the problem, and charged me $170. The problem is, he didn't fix anything and my house got so cold that I had to take my kids to a hotel for the night. I called again, and the next day they sent out the "boiler expert" to fix my boiler. He did, indeed, fix it...and charged me an additional $660 with no credit for the useless work the day before. I called and asked for a refund of the $170 given that they first guy didn't know what he was doing, but they simply refused. Not happy. Will never use them again.
