I cancelled my policy per instructions of a customer service rep. and the policy was cancelled instead of being ended and I was denied refund.
I called PGAC on 4/25/14 to cancel my remaining time on my insurance policy. I was told to cancel using the website "contact us" button. I entered my policy # as requested and sent my request to cancel because I had obtained insurance through another carrier. I later received a letter on 5/8/14 saying my policy was cancelled due to non-renewal. That evening I called back PGAC and they said that I needed to log into my online PGAC account. Upon my first correspondence there was no specificity given as to logging into my acct. or just using the website. I spoke with a supervisor and he told me I had to mail in new copies of my insurance proving when I obtained it among a myriad of other things in order to get my refund. They also mentioned that they needed me to login to my acct. to verify it was me cancelling my policy. I mentioned that in order to take my money they only required my account # but in order to give me my refund I had to jump through hoops. The supervisor agreed in saying I needed to jump through hoops as well. I ended by telling the supervisor that in good business practice if a company is liable for a mistake they should be the one fixing it. I ended the call by mentioning that I would be contacting the Revdex.com.
