My experience with this contractor was very disappointing. He gave me a verbal estimate of $350 to $450. That was in the same ballpark as another estimate I received so I accepted the offer because he was a referral. He did some measuring and I pointed out the cabinet had to be cut because there were no doors for the end and the panel from the back could be used to finish the end. He did not give me a written estimate. He scheduled the job for March 11th. When he arrived he did not have his helper with him. He was removing cabinets from the kitchen ceiling and mounting them on a different wall. I had to call my son and he and one of his employees arrived to help remove the cabinet. He then stated he did not have the necessary tools for the job. He said he would have to take the cabinet home to do the work. He mounted the brackets he planned to use. He said he was booked 3 weeks out and would get it ready and schedule installation. He left the ceiling with 2 large bolts hanging out and glue exposed. I scrapped the glue off, removed the bolts and painted the wall and ceiling. One month later I had not heard from him and my son said to have him return the cabinet and he would do it. On April 11th I texted that info to Bruce. He texted back that the cabinet was cut but he was waiting on a date to schedule it....? He got back to me the same day with an install date of April 21st @ 10 am, ( 6 week wait ). Again when he arrived he did not have his helper. Again my son had to help him. When he was done I noticed that some of the doors did not close correctly. He said that was the best he could do. I asked him what I owed him.. he said he would remove the cost of some bolts he did not use. I asked him if I could get a waiting discount? I saw the invoice of $618 changed to $608.. I said you quoted $350-$450 and he flipped out and said oh no it was $350-$550. That was what he wrote in his schedule book. I would not have accepted the offer if that was what he said because I had a written estimate for $400.
