A-1 Hawk Moving Services

I hired this moving company to move me from one apartment to another in the same apartment complex. Since my wife worked for a local Apartment complex the moving company discounted the move. During the move the movers damaged two leather couches, one being a couch and the other being a love seat. the couches were damaged in a total of six spots. My wife showed the movers this and they called [redacted] and advised him of that. The movers left a information pamphlet about there insurance. I called [redacted] to see what he wanted to do about this and he stated he would come and look at the damage. [redacted] came out and advised us that he would send a leather guy out to fix the couches and that the Leather repair man would call and set up an appointment with me and my wife. A week or so went by and I never heard anything. I called [redacted] again and he stated he didn't want to fix the repair because he discounted the move so much he didn't make any money. I stated to him the couches needed to be fixed even if we went through his insurance company. I told him that I would get a leather repair guy out there to tell me how much it would cost. He stated that was fine. A few days later, I called him back and advised him it would be [redacted] to fix the couches and he stated he was getting ticked off with me because I am complaining about this issue. [redacted] went on to say that he couldn't pay for it because he discounted our move. I advised [redacted] that I never signed anything saying I waived my rights to get anything fixed or replaced if it was damaged. [redacted] hung up on me as I was trying to explain to him my concerns. I called him back and he stated the check would be in the mail. At this time I still have not received a check to fix my damaged possessions.
