I really appreciated the honesty this HVAC company provided, they provided an assessment of my HVAC system and saved me from making a ~$7,000 mistake, as my system was not capable of adding on a pellet furnace.

I called A-1 on 7/2/13 and scheduled a visit for someone to come over to check the Air conditioning unit in our commercial building. At the time of the call, I was quoted $119 as the charge for the visit which would include checking and diagnosing the problem without any repairs. I agreed and the technician came in today 7/11/13 and looked around and told me what needed to be done to get the air unit working better. I informed him that I have a handy person who can do most of what he recommended and would get back to A-1 if the handy person couldn't do the repairs. I can attest that the A-1 tech did not repair anything and the bill ended up with an additional $54 charge for level 1 repair. I consider this as dishonest and I am filing a complaint to let other consumers know because this is my second overcharge with A-1. I also believe that companies should be held accountable and be expected to be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
