[redacted] went for the first estimate on 5/18/13. This was to be labor only with [redacted] obtaining all materials. After [redacted] gave him the estimate and [redacted] called numerous times with questions, a date...
of March 20 and 21 was decided upon. [redacted] called to cancel, and [redacted] filled in other work. Another date was set for April 28 and 29, and again canceled by [redacted]. Again [redacted] had to hurry to fill in work for that time. When another date was set for May 27 and 28, some perameters of the work was changed, therefore making the estimate invalid. [redacted] could not fillin work because the cancellation was at the last minute. [redacted] called again and spoke with [redacted], saying he would like to do the work on [redacted]'s schedule was full at that time, and [redacted] was not called back. [redacted] tried to rearrange the work schedule, but could not. [redacted] both called on the 30th and threatened [redacted] if he did not come to their home immediately. There was only an estimate, which changed, no money ever changed hands, and no day or time was ever given by [redacted]. [redacted] tried to accomodate [redacted] until his schedule became too full to fit him in.

Review: [redacted] was contracted for labor-only work related to installation of flooring, cabinets, and an air conditioning unit. [redacted] failed to show up on the job site on June 30, 2014. [redacted] has been contacted several times by telephone, and he has never responded to this date. In addition, [redacted] never provided any reasoning for his failure to show up to complete the above-referenced work.
[redacted]'s failure to perform is going to cost this customer a large sum of money to find a replacement contractor without so much as a hint of notice or information. This customer should not have to find a replacement contractor because [redacted] failed to perform the work.
Additionally, [redacted] is aware that there was a hefty investment in materials made by this customer on which interest is being paid while he continues to fail to perform the work. [redacted] has had three weeks to respond to inquiries and demands for him to complete the work. [redacted] has also been advised that the customer cannot afford additional costs due to his failure to perform.
As such, this customer has filed this complaint with the Revdex.com to prompt [redacted] to act. It is beyond sound reasoning as to why a home improvement contractor who was hired to do exactly that type of work would be willing to risk his reputation by acting so irresponsible and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: [redacted] should perform the work as contracted or pay to have another contractor do the work, regardless of the pricing difference. However, this customer will not accept work not done in a good and workmanlike manner, a slap-dash job just to get it done or without a warranty/guarantee in writing.
[redacted] must have something personal against this customer, although this customer has not done anything to warrant such behavior. What makes the situation worse is that after [redacted] stood this customer up, he refuses to communicate with said customer.
[redacted] has been given many opportunities to contact this customer and complete the work, only to leave this customer hanging on a limb. Since [redacted] is in the contracting business, he knows it is nearly impossible to find a replacement contractor at this point in the season. [redacted] has put this customer in an untenable position, which is totally unacceptable.
