A-1 Manufactured Homes

I purchased a mfg home from A-1 Homes. I was told by the sales woman & supposed Mgr [redacted] that everything I wanted which had been discussed up to the point on 9/08/2013 when we placed our order for the home was included but was told I was getting the home from a different factory within their company, it was called a "Banner" program. I was told I would be getting vinly floor tile in all areas that were not carpeted. I was given a home with linoleum. When I questioned it [redacted] stated she had never done a "Banner" program before and didn't know it only came with linoleum. She stated the difference in the price from the product I was told I was getting (carpet) to the lino was approx $2500. We had arranged for the refrigerated a/c unit to be added at a later date. I told her she could comp the cost of the unit which she stated was approx $2500 for the carpet I was told I was getting. She said it was her "mistake" in telling me I would be getting carpet because she didn't know any better but that she would comp me anything as I was charged for the lino and not the carpet. I was told I was getting one thing & got another. Is the consumer supposed to be responsible for the business' mistake? My contract states I was to have one 48" bathroom shower and one 52" shower, both are 48". Additionally, to date all the repairs from the placement of the home on Oct 22 2013 have not been completed. Before the home was delivered [redacted] again told me it would take 10 days for all the "set" work to be completed, including installation of carpet (which again never happened), cracks to be repaired, painting, etc. We finally moved into the home on Nov 21st, exactly 30 days from the delivery date and to this date the repairs have not been completed. Their worker [redacted] has made 3 appts since 12/06/2013 and has cancelled all w/in less than 24 hours notice. The most recent one today, and we would not have known had I not called him myself. I then called [redacted] again today to ask why her worker has cancelled on us 3 times and when the work would be completed. She stated she didn't even know, perhaps because when we called to scheduled the appts she told us to call [redacted] ourself vs. her or a representative of her company. It has been almost 90 days since our home was delivered and all initial repairs have not been completed, not were we delivered the quality product we were lead to believe we were getting. If the supposed Mgr "didn't know" herself, how is the consumer supposed to know. NONE of the model homes on this business' lot have products of the quality or lack thereof of this "banner" program house. Everything I was shown (down to the carpet samples) were of a higher grade quality than that of the home that was delivered. I had to be out of my previous residence and had no where else to go, as stated previous I waited as long as possible to even move in to allow for things to be corrected and completed. When I kept calling the business I was told that I had a "one year" warranty insinuating that they had up to 1 year to complete the work. The seller states they had to pay $2100 extra to keep the loan which I was not advised about until I rec'd an e-mail from [redacted] on 10/23/2013 after the fact. If they had to pay that it was not due to any error or delay on our part. They did that to keep the sale and are now trying to tell me they did me a favor. Up until the delivery of our home the seller has been nice and accomodating. Since the arrival of the home & our expression of concerns have not been addressed, and we have been left waiting for completion of work and phone calls not returned. As of most recent, today [redacted] said she never returned my call because she didn't get the message. Once this seller had our money they have not wanted to honor their promises or what is on the contract.
