Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/15) */
I did go to the and replaced the cartridge to the kitchen sink. The shutoff valves under the sink were not working properly(didn't stop water flow). Additionally the shutoff valves at the meter needed replacement. The valve after the meter...

didn't work at all and the valve before the meter didn't shut off the water completely. In my opinion all the mentioned valves meeded replacement as well as the faucet. The owner wanted me to come back out, replace the valves and the faucet for free. I do not stock the type of faucet she had and world have to order one. Our company works at time and material, which the owner knew. Also the owner didn't want to pay to replace the valves. The kitchen faucet was not leaking at the time I completed replacing the cartridge. Whatever occoured after I left I have no control of.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Sean did explain the shut off valves under the sink didn't work. However, when Ryan from Lifeline Plumbing was there on Saturday (I wanted a second opinion), and since Sean refused to come out and fix what he didn't fix originally, Ryan told me that if Sean could not turn off the water there was no way that the cartridge could have been replaced because the water had to be turned off. Ryan said the shut off valves under the sink worked perfectly fine, and he was able to shut off the water to the sink using the shut off valves under the sink with no issue. When he took apart the faucet he was able to see that the cartridge was never replaced. The main shut off valves did not need to be replaced in order to fix the sink, and I was not going to replace the main valves without a second opinion as there were no issues with the valves prior to Sean from A1-Plumbing coming to the house.
I called Sean to complain because my tenants turned on the water after Sean replaced the cartridge to do dishes, and the leak was worse than before Sean came to look at the issue. I explained to him what the issue was, and he was paid to fix the sink, and it was not fixed. I am not paying $325 for a repair that never took place as confirmed by the 2nd plumber Ryan from Lifeline that came out the next day. Since he said there was no way that any repair could have been done if the water could not be turned off. Clearly the water could have been as the 2nd plumber had no issues with the under sink shut off valves working for him. Ryan at Lifeline said at best the faucet was only cleaned and greased, but that is it, no cartridge replacement.
I am looking for a full refund as this repair was not done and I and my tenants were lied to about the under sink shut off valves since the 2nd plumber was able to use the valves to replace and fix the issue that Sean was paid for and never did the job,and refused to come out and fix without additional payment.
Per reviews on A1-Mullins Plumbing there are other consumers who paid for services that were never done as that occured with me.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/09/21) */
My first question is Did the other company replace or repair the old faucet? Secondly I told the customer that the faucet should be replaced.
there are two companies that used the cartridge I replaced, one being Moen the other being Glacier Bay. I also explained that if it was a Moen faucet how to have Moen replace it for free under warranty. When I was called back I asked if they had a replacement faucet, to which they said they didn't. in my opinion there were two reasons for the leak, one being the cartridge (of which I had used the last one I had in stock), or the sprayer supply line had failed due to corrosion (which I had pointed out that the inlet and outlet lines were all corroded. I will not argue with a customer over the phone under any circumstances. Under the circumstances it was my belief that the faucet needed replacement. Also the cartridge in question has many design flaws (Which is why Moen discontinued their use)
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2015/09/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The other company replaced the faucet due to the fact that after A1 [redacted] took apart the original faucet and fixed nothing it was beyond repair. Ryan at Lifeline Plumbing confirmed that the under sink water valves worked he didn't need to repair those. Unlike A1 [redacted] Plumbing that stated that all my valves were broken, and when I requested [redacted] to come out and repair what he didn't fix in the first place he refused unless I paid him more money. Hnd behind his work. He said the cartridge would fix the issue. Seeing he didn't replace the cartridge and only took apart the faucet and made the leak worse. I was lied to about the valves not working and needing a new faucet originally, but had to get one in the end due to the fact the original was ruined by A1 [redacted].
Lifeline Plumbing was very honest about their work and knew right off the bat that the cartridge in the original faucet was never fixed, and they were able to turn off water under the sink using the valves. They did not need to repair those nor did they need the village to come out and shut off the water to the entire unit.
A1 [redacted] Plumbing does not and did not stand behind their work, and refused to fix the issue unless the entire faucet and valves were replaced for more money and it was an unneccessary fix since the valves and faucet weren't broken.
The end result of having to replace the faucet with the new plumber was due to the fact that whatever A1 [redacted] Plumbing did to my original faucet which was not repairing or replacing the cartridge was beyond repair and had to be completely replaced.
