Response to [redacted] complaint. Customer was given a quote to inject foam insulation in the back second floor wall and 3 walls of the second floor... knee wall and dormer. When our salesperson was there. He told customer we could remove aluminum siding and do the back second floor wall from outside. The dormer walls could be done also from the outside. But the knee walls would have to be done from the inside. The customer told the salesperson the knee walls had no insulation in them. The back side of the walls where not open and we could inject foam from the attic area. Our salesperson wanted to look in the knee wall to see what was there. The only way in was through a closet. Which was full of items that had to be moved. The customer didn't want to move the items and told the salesperson that there wasn't any insulation in the walls. That we should be able to insulate them from the attic. The customer went ahead and scheduled the work. When it was close to her scheduled date. Another driver ran into our injection foam trailer and damaged it enough, the insurance company totaled it. Once I was done settling the claim with the insurance. I had to test all of the equipment in the trailer to be sure it worked. Than purchase a new trailer. Once I had the new trailer I had to move all the equipment from the old trailer to the new trailer. All of this took longer than I expected. As soon as it was completed. We went to customers house to do the work. Once we arrived at the house. We wanted to inspect the areas that was being insulated. Went into attic and saw that the knee walls where covered. We where not able to insulate the walls from the attic. We where given permission to drill holes in the walls. We drilled about 3 holes. All 3 holes had fiberglass insulation in them. We notified customer of what we found. Explained that we could still inject foam in the walls. But the customer said that since there is insulation in the walls. She didn't want us to put anymore. When she had time ,she was capable of going in the knee wall and find the wall cavities that needed insulation. Doing it herself. The second floor back wall had aluminum siding on it. We have taken aluminum siding off numerous times. The crew had experience with it. When the crew was taking the siding off. He was having difficulting getting it off without damaging it. When he explained to the customer that there was a good chance the siding was going to be damaged. The customer gave him permission to do the work from the inside. At this time we went to inspect front room. Since we where not putting insulation in the front room. The customer told us to forget about the back room. It would be done another way. At this time we cleaned up the job site. Put our equipment away . Right before we left the customer asked for the deposit back. I explained to her that we had 5 to 6 hours of work there and the deposit was going to be used to cover that cost. After discussing this. I finally said I would pay back the deposit. Owner Mr*** called in to report that he plans to send the customer his refund check the morning of Monday, June 22nd

They came and installed retrofoam insulation into our side walls, and blew in cellulose insulation into our atticThey also blew cellulose insulation above the ceiling above our pantryThe job was done to our satisfaction and according to contract agreementIt took a little longer than anticipated, but that's OKJob well doneWe can tell the difference already, especially cooler on the second floor

I disagree with most of the business responseThe salesman that came to my home did not ask to see the attic spaceHe viewed the bedroom and closet space by walking into the rooms and then went outside to do a measurement to create the estimateI waited for and e-mail estimate
It had rained that day so they said they really did not want to be on my front roofSo I gave permission to go thru the bedroom walls after he went in the attic and determined that he could not go thru the top of the walls thru the attic spaceThey went out to work on the back second level access for the foam instillation to the back storage closet and I moved furniture to give them access the bedroom wallsWhen nothing happed on the back of the house they came in and made holes and found some type of insulation in some of the spacesI stopped the process and decided to do regular insulation since I could not get the foamI requested my $deposit back and I still have not received itAnd now I am told to contact an attorney
