Review: My son back in April took the 6 hour class to obtain his driving permit. After completion he was given a paper that stated it was a valid permit and we drove with this for the next 6 months practicing. I went to make his road test appointment and the motor vehicle office stated to me that this is not a valid permit. I have been driving with my son illegally. the driving school was suppose to validate his permit with the motor vehicle office but they neglected to, I don't know what it is suppose to be. I paid $389.00 plus $10.00 for the permit to motor vehicle. Now my son has to wait an additional 6 months to be able to get his drivers license. I called them to go to the motor vehicle and straighten it out and they refuse. They also will not refund my money back due to a service that was not completed.Desired Settlement: I would like them to go to motor vehicle to rectify this situation so my son can take his drivers test in October. They would not refund my money
Review: I signed my son up for 6 hrs of driving with the A1 Peck driving school. They told me they were responsible for driving my son to the Motor Vehicle Department to get him a drivers permit, 6 hrs of driving, and on the completion of the driving hours they said they would take him back to motor vehicle department to get his permit validated . He would them be allowed to drive with an adult until he was 17 at which time he would take his road test and get his NJ drivers license. My son finished his 6 hours of driving school and they forgot to take him to get his permit validation and never informed us! When he turned 17 he could not take his test and he dad been driving illegally for 1 yr which could have caused many problems if he had gotten pulled over. If my son had never used the driving school his permit would have automatically been validated and could have driven on his 17 th bday .my son had a job set up for the summer which he can longer do as it requires driving. How can the driving school get away with not validating his permit which was their responsibility? How could they have not told us ? When I called they said they were sorry , it was their fault and they overlooked it.Desired Settlement: $477.00
