My built-in microwave/oven combo ceased to heat (microwave). I followed the owner manual and phoned [redacted], the manufacturer, who referred me to [redacted]. The unit is less than 2 years old, but was factory warrantied for only 1 year. The technician came out twice, could not diagnose the problem, called the factory for help, advised I either start fixing the problems of three possibilities, until the correct one was fixed, (all very expensive) or wait until the unit completely broke down, at which time he could figure it out. He charged me $75 for the service call(s). I phoned [redacted], where I purchased the appliance(s), and they sent out a technician who had us turn off the circuit breaker ([redacted]) and immediately diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and repaired it. Even though I did not have an extended warranty, [redacted] stood behind its product and did not charge me for the repair. Kudos to [redacted]!
